This is going to be a good fiscal year for FOX!
According to a source close to ad sales, 80% of the ad time for next year's Super Bowl has already been sold!
It's June! The season hasn't even started yet!!! Wowza!!!
Considering that last year's game was the highest watched television program in HISTORY, it's no surprise advertisers are making a move to secure a spot during the game. Viewership on everything else has started going way down, but you can always count on an excuse to eat chicken wings and watch grown men sweat to get the eyes glued to the TV.
A 30-second spot during the telecast is going for anywhere between $2.8 million and $3 million. Seems steep, but it seems to be working out a lot better for FOX than it did for NBC in 2009.
Let's hope the amount of money being thrown around means there will be some quality commercials come the fall!
