Bruce Willis Buys U2's Bassist's NYC Apartment! Hello, Hello!

Here's a little quizzzzzzzer for you:

What's $8 million dollars to Bruce Willis? NOTHING!

What's buying a rock legend's NYC apartment? EVERYTHING!

LOLz!

It's true! Bruce just purchased Adam Clayton's NYC apartment for a cool $8 million — even though the U2 bassist had it listed for $8.695 last October. So, not only did he get a FAB rock and roll pad, he got a discount! Sweet!

Apparently the place is an “art deco gem,” which boasts a view of Central Park in three of the rooms and the large master suite! It's a large place too, as Adam converted two separate units into one, and then filled it with high-end appliances, custom cabinetry, slate countertops and terrazzo floors.

With three bedrooms and four baths, it sounds perfect for entertaining house guests!

We'll give you notice before we come knockin', Bruce! Ha!

Congrats!

U2 Bassist's Assistant Caught Embezzling!

U2 Bassist Adam Clayton

Achtung, Baby! Theft could happen to U2!

Carol Hawkins, personal assistant to U2 bass player Adam Clayton, has been found guilty of embezzling funds from the rocker.

Hawkins apparently moved in mysterious ways for over 4 years of her service; she was convicted last week of 181 counts of theft totaling nearly 3.5 MILLION dollars! It's NOT alright!

The thief will be where the streets have no name and the windows have bars for 7 years.

Clayton is reportedly pleased with the verdict, and will carry on rocking with or without Hawkins.

UBoo! Upcoming U2 Album Delayed Until 2012!

new u2 album delayed

Way back in November, we were pumped to hear that U2's new album was almost complete, with the help of key collaborator Danger Mouse.

While the main album sounded like it should be pret-ty good, we were especially excited for the additional dance CD release, which we learned would "run as an additional album," featuring collaborations with will.i.am, David Guetta, and RedOne.

Now, we're bummed to hear that not only is the album delayed until 2012, but U2 is dropping the "futuristic" tracks they put together with RedOne!

Here's what U2 bassist Adam Clayton had to say about it:

"We had to have a meeting and look at the schedule to see if we could pick up any extra time to work on it. We just realized that we couldn't. To be honest, everyone was a bit gutted. But it was the only sensible decision."

"We have to focus on what we do best, and the work we did with Danger Mouse came closest to that. In the end, the thing we did with RedOne doesn't feel like the right fit."

So what about the rest of the dance stuff? Is that not happening anymore??? That would be such a shame! Sounded like a VERY cool idea to us!

Ah well!

What do U think about U2's delay and changes to their album? Do U approve?

U2's Adam Clayton is a father!

The rocker and his French girlfriend welcomed their first child almost a year ago - and no one knew about it! Although we don't know anything about the baby momma, we do know that the kiddie was a boy.

A source claims that the bassist is "deliriously happy with fatherhood".

Awww. A belated congrats!

U2 Bassist Sues Finance Managers

U2's bassist Adam Clayton has filed papers against Gaby Smyth as well as two other accountant's in Dublin's High Court, which is said to possibly be related to his recent case against a former housekeeper who allegedly defrauded him of up to £1.4 million.

A source reveals:

"It would be unwise to assume that this case relates to the case against his housekeeper, but that's not to say it has nothing to do with her."

Gaby Smyth came up with the plan to move the band's publishing company to Holland in 2007 to save money.

Hmm, sounds kinda shady!
