A Once Upon A Time Spinoff?! Creators Adam Horowitz & Eddy Kitsis To Develop Alice In Wonderland!

Filed under: TV NewsOnce Upon A Time

eddy kitsis adam horowitz alice spinoff

And just like that, we’ve fallen down the rabbit hole…

Once Upon A Time creators Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis are currently working on a television spinoff set in Wonderland!

That’s right, U guyzzz. Alice could very well be gracing the small screen for a 13 episode season!

Bringing in some TV heavy hitters, Zack Estrin and OUAT consulting producer Jane Espenson, the co-creators and their team will work together on the project's “presentation" before production begins in Vancouver after the OUAT finale this April.

Though the spinoff will no longer revolve around OUAT’s Mad Hatter as originally planned, let’s just hope that doesn’t mean we wont get to drool over seksi Sebastian Stan!

What can we say? We’re mad for the Mad Hatter.

Shocker! Ouija Board Movie Needs Script Work

ouija board game movie needs a rewrite

Back in October, it looked like Universal's Ouija board movie was finally gaining some steam, but then once again nothing much happened with it.

Now, it looks like the movie is gaining steam once again needs some script work.

Universal has brought on Sherlock Holmes writer Simon Kinberg to polish the script, which had a previous draft written by Lost's Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis.

Come on, Lost guys! You told us a six season epic tale that took us on a journey through time and alternate universes…yet you can't figure out an effective way to take on Ouija???

Ah well! Hopefully Simon can impress Universal with his new draft, so we can finally get to see the Ouija movie that we've been SO SO SO SO excited about for SUCH a long time!

…And then let's get going on Mouse Trap: The Movie next. LOLz.

What board game movie are U looking forward to seeing?

New Details On Animated Tron TV Series

new details on animated tron tv series

Last month, we learned that an animated Tron series starring Frodo Baggins Elijah Wood was on the way.

Now, Tron: Legacy screenwriters Adam Horowitz and Eddie Kitsis have revealed new details about the upcoming show.

Here's what Horowitz had to say about it:

"There's a 10-part micro series that will premiere next summer that Eddie and I wrote. And we've also worked on a couple of episodes with the series itself. We've hired an incredible team; we've got a guy running the show named Charlie Bean who is an amazing director."

Here's Horowitz on whether or not the show will follow the movie's continuity:

"Absolutely. And we're treating it very seriously. This animated show will take place from when Flynn is in a safe house. It's from when Clu takes over the grid to before when Sam comes in. So if you were wondering what was the grid like before that, then watch the show."

Looks like they'll be bridging the gaps between the original Tron and Tron: Legacy with this series. Very cool.

Here's Horowitz on the voice cast for the show:

"Bruce Boxleitner is in it, Elijah Wood, Linda Moore, Paul Reubens, Lance Henriksen. I mean, we've got a really cool group of actors."

And here's more on potential Tron storylines from Horowitz:

"To give you an example of how we approached storytelling sometimes is like when you're in the End of Line club, when we first meet Castor and he's being berated by one of the patrons saying, ‘I want an audience with Zuse.' His name is Bartik, and there's an entire back story we have for him. The guy with him, his name is Hopper, there's a whole thing between the two of them, what they are doing in there, and how they got there. It's like over the years of developing this movie, we developed all these mythologies and all these back stories and all little tangential things.

Did we have time to do the Bartik story? No. But now maybe the Bartik story is in the animated series —you know, he's got a huge scar on his face. I want to know how he got that scar. We couldn't sit down and write that there's a guy with a scar on his face without knowing what the scar was. So we hope it adds to the depth of the movie. Our intention is to try and make something that is more than just, let's go get something. We treat TRON very, very seriously and as writers we try to have a reason and a world for everything and not all of it gets to be shown because in this particular movie, we only had two hours. [So] hopefully it fills in the blanks in and in a fun way and an intriguing way."

Wow. Sounds like they're putting a lot of care into this series.

Guess we'll see how this plays out, but it def helps to know that the Tron: Legacy writers are also involved in this series.

Thoughts???

Tron May Be Getting A Second Sequel!

tron-legacy-photojb.jpg

They must really be confident in this one!

Although Tron Legacy - the long-awaited sequel to 1982's sci-fi hit Tron - isn't released until December, Disney is already prepping production for a third feature!

Sources claim that producers have re-enlisted Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis - who wrote the latest installment - to make the franchise into a trilogy, and the two are already hard at work breaking the next story!

If the previews are any testament to the quality of Legacy, then we're sure a third film will have no issues getting greenlit! It looks AWESOME!

What do U think?? Are U excited for a Tron trilogy??
