The OG Batman Series Turns 50! In Honor Of The Show's Anniversary, Here Are All The Stars To Ever Play The Caped Crusader!

no title

They're the heroes Gotham deserves!

Batman is arguably the most iconic comic book character in all of TV and film history, so we think the fact that Tuesday marks the TV show's 50th anniversary is a pretty huge deal.

That's right — Batman, starring Adam West and Burt Ward as Robin got its start all the way back on January 12, 1966, and that's just the beginning of the DC Comics character's onscreen presence.

Hotties like George Clooney, Christian Bale, and Will Arnett have all portrayed the Caped Crusader recently, but we're personally most excited to see Ben Affleck's turn as Bruce Wayne in Batman v Superman this March!

So just how many high-profile actors have actually taken flight as The Bat??

While DC is spending the day (as well as every day through the 28th) cutting costs for digital downloads for 1000 different issues, we're taking the opportunity to bask in the beauty of Batmen past and present.

From Adam West to Ben Affleck, ch-ch-check out these eight actors who have donned the mask and portrayed the Caped Crusader!
