Friday night, Coldplay gave a riveting performance of the Beastie Boys' Fight for your Right at the Hollywood Bowl.
And needless to say, the entire audience was moved beyond belief!!
It's been a really sad weekend for music. Our heart was breaking when we told you the news of Adam MCA Yauch's death.
Forty-seven is just way too young. But like we said, his music and imprint on the industry will live as long as time itself!!!
Remember Adam with us and watch this heartwarming rendition of the Beastie classic (above)!!

As we cope with the shocking news of the passing of the Beastie Boys’ Adam Yauch today, we have what would come to be his last performance.
Adam can be seen in the video (above) performing Intergalactic with his group mates at Bonnaroo, in June of 2009.
That year, Adam announced in a video on the band's website that he had been battling a form of cancer.
After canceling their headlining Lollapalooza show that August, Yauch said:

MCA passed wayyy too soon!
The 47-year-old Beastie Boy filled out hearts with funk and some of the freshest beats of his generation… Adam Yauch, you are truly missed!
You're missed by your fans. You're missed by your band-mates. And you're missed by celebrities like Justin Timberlake and Snoop Dogg!!
As soon as the unfortunate news hit, celebrities began sending their condolences into the Twitterverse:

John C. Reilly

They all look as though they play RIDICULOUS characters!

Oscilloscope Laboratories has acquired Saturday Night, James Franco's documentary about a week in the making of an episode of Saturday Night Live!
The film begins with the show's Tuesday morning pitch meeting and Franco follows the writers and actors through the process. He chronicles an episode with host John Malkovich and the documentary will be released early next year.

Beastie Boys rapper Adam Yauch was diagnosed with cancer last year, and although Yauch is in recovery, the Buddhist rapper is taking it upon himself to meditate for good health - for the entire world!
Yauch has invited fans of the Beasties to take place in "group meditation sessions" channeled towards destroying cancer!
A few friends and I are meditating at the same time twice a day. 9:30am and 6:30pm eastern standard time, for about an hour and half. We are picturing smashing apart all of the cancer cells in the world.
We are visualizing taking the energy away from the cancer, and then sending it back at the cancer as lightning bolts that will break apart the DNA and RNA of the cells. If you have the time, please join us in whipping up this lightening storm. Mind over matter.
Yauch says that Yoko Ono will be joining the meditation sessions, more specifically by "visualizing all of us dancing with joy to celebrate the world without cancer."
Will U join too?
