Just because she miraculously escaped jail time doesn’t mean rehab is going to be easy breezy!

Lindsay Lohan is currently undergoing treatment at The Betty Ford Center under lock and key! Leslie Pace, a case manager at Betty Ford, informed LiLo’s lawyer in writing:

“It is understood by the Betty Ford Center that your client is to remain on premises for the duration of her 90-day stay in treatment.”

Yep, this lady is NOT allowed to leave. Judge James Dabney, who’s been overseeing Lindsay’s case, not only ordered that the actress stay in the hospital wing of the treatment facility, but also ordered that she not be allowed to leave the facility’s premises under any circumstance.

But this is all stuff you know. Now, let's get down to LiLo's planned activities while in lockdown! For the duration of her stay, Lindsay is going to be one busy lady!

Home Safety Tips For ADHD Preschoolers

Tips For Living With A ADHD Preschooler

Kids with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) can grow up to be some of the world's greatest creative minds! But keeping your hyperactive kid safe can be a challenge.

Here are some tips from clinical assistant professor of pediatrics at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, Lauren Boyd, MD that may help you see your child to adulthood!

1) Choose Sturdy Furniture
ADHD kids are always in motion so it doesn't hurt to have furniture that is sturdy, stable, and stainproof.

2) Organize the Toys
ADHD kids will get bored with a toy really quickly. Make it easier for yourself by keeping toys in easy to reach bins so that the child can easily clean up after his or her self.

3) Secure the Bedroom
Put gate across their bedroom doorway to prevent them from getting into every corner of your house before you even wake up.

4) Safeguard Your Bathroom
Make sure to lock medications and secure bathroom cabinets with safety locks.

5) Kid-Proof the Kitchen
Keep all the sharp or electric stuff in a locked cabinet. Oh yeah, also your liters and matches!

6) Structure
Keep on schedule for wake-up, meals, playtime, bath time, and bedtime. It's good for the both of you!

30% Of College Students Relying On ADHD Drugs For Good Grades

Sadly, for many college students, the picture above isn't a joke.

Professor Alan DeSantis of the University of Kentucky has been tracking the use of non-prescribed ADHD drugs or "study drugs" by the student body and has turned up some alarming results.

Pills like Adderall or Ritalin are used by HALF of all juniors and seniors in college, and 30% of the entire student body.

Students have placed the risk of using the drug as "slightly more dangerous than the soft drink Mountain Dew and nowhere near as dangerous as drinking beer and smoking." The reality, however, is that taking ADHD drugs WITHOUT a diagnosis can cause "significant problems both in terms of thinking, mood problems, maybe even functionality."

Not only is a drug like Adderall habit forming, but the federal government lists it as a schedule II drug, meaning it has "the highest abuse potential and dependence profile of all drugs that have medical utility."

Students seem oblivious to the risks and insist taking the drugs help their performance. Believe it or not, they aren't alone either.

Some scientists advocate legalizing "safe and effective" cognitive enhancement drugs, citing that the "new methods of improving our brain function…will benefit both the individual and society."

We learned a long time ago (was it kindergarten) that you should NEVER take someone else's prescriptions and we'll stick by that!

Study: 1 In 4 Adults Exaggerate ADHD Symptoms To Get Medication

web-hiv-pills.jpg

Faking sick isn’t just for middle-school kids trying to cut class!

A new survey found that nearly 25% of adults fake or exaggerate ADHD symptoms in order to get prescribed Adderall.

For people with ADHD, drugs like Adderall and Ritalin give users a sense of calm. For people without ADHD, the drugs basically act as mental performance enhancers, allowing them to concentrate better.

The problem with this is that doctors are trying harder and harder to avoid giving healthy people these drugs, which means that they are enacting stricter protocols for diagnoses, potentially making it harder for people who actually have ADHD to get the medicine they need.

The bottom line: Don’t fake your way into a prescription — you could be hurting someone else in the process!
