Too much of a good thing is never a good thing. Case in point, fast food and now the internet.

A recent study shows that an addiction to surfing the web can be just as damaging to teenagers' brains as alcohol and drugs!

Chinese researchers studied brain scans of 17 adolescents addicted to the internet and 16 who weren't.

Similar to abnormal white matter structure found in the brains of people abusing alcohol, cocaine and other drugs, scientists found evidence of disruption to "white matter" nerve fibres connecting parts of the brain involved in emotions, decision making, and self-control.
