X Factor Is Gonna Be Huge! Fox Going ALL OUT With Promotions!

fox putting lots of care into us x factor

Looks like Fox is putting A LOT of effort into ensuring that this show is a hit!

We were excited to hear more news/hints about potential judges yesterday, and now we've learned that Fox flew out promotion executives from all over the U.S. for an X-Factor promotions conference called XPEC.

Here's what a Fox promo exec had to say about it:

"This kind of promotion based around a single show is unprecedented. I've been affiliated with Fox a long time, and I've never seen them doing anything like this."

More from a "station staffer":

"You had hundreds of people there who can be pretty jaded. But we saw the clips and said, ‘Bring it on!'"

And more from KSLR Eugene promotions director Angela Riley:

"Fox has put their money where their mouth is. That's pretty significant for 210 affiliates."

We're SO pumped! Fox really does seem to be on their game.

…Now, let's get some confirmations on judges please!

Parents Television Council Won't Give Up Their Fight Against CBS

The Parents Television Council (PTC) has been lashing out against CBS for their new show $#*! My Dad Says, but both CBS and show star William Shatner don't seem to care.

In an effort to continue their fight, the PTC is going to shift their focus from targeting national advertisers to "grassroots activists" who will "take their concerns directly to their hometown CBS affiliates and each affiliate's local advertisers."

Tim Winter, President of the PTC, says they'll hound local advertisers for CBS affiliates, in an effort to get them to refuse to advertise during the show. Good luck with that!

In response, CBS has said that the show will adhere to all of the network's standards, and they've made the following statement:

"Parents who choose to do so will find the show can easily be blocked using their V-Chip."

CBS makes a solid point. And honestly, PTC - this sounds like a lot of work for something that isn't THAT big a deal.

Just be happy that CBS has elected to use dollar signs and exclamation points instead of shit the actual word.
