The lives of two U.S. Marines were taken on Saturday when a lethal attack by the Taliban targeted an Afghan base just a mile away from where Prince Harry is stationed.

Just a few days ago, it was revealed that the Taliban had threatened to kidnap and/or assassinate the prince during his stay in Afghanistan.

The two soldiers were killed in Camp Leatherneck, which is located just a mile away from Harry's location, the British base, Camp Bastion, in the southern Helmand province.

Taliban spokesman Qari Youssef Ahmadi took credit for the attack, saying:
