Olivia Wilde Was Labeled Too Old To Play Leonardo DiCaprio's Love Interest In The Wolf Of Wall Street! Hear Her Dish To Howard Stern!

no title

This is the most insane thing we've heard all week!

Olivia Wilde is one of the most talented and hottest women in all of Hollywood, but apparently that's not enough to distract from her exorbitant age.

The mother-of-one stopped by The Howard Stern Show on Tuesday to promote her new HBO show Vinyl and revealed that she was told she was "too sophisticated" to play the part that eventually went to Margot Robbie in The Wolf of Wall Street.

While that in itself seems okay, later in the interview Olivia shared that after her audition she learned that what they really meant was that she was too old!

WHAT?!?!

She was only 28 when they were first started making that movie!!! And nearly a decade younger than Leonardo DiCaprio!

Thankfully, Martin Scorsese liked the now-32-year-old's acting skills enough to cast her on Vinyl without having to audition… but still, that's beyond ridiculous.

Ch-ch-check out Olivia's interview with Howard Stern to hear the scalding hot tea (below)!!!

Rebel Wilson Says THIS Is Why She Lied About Her Age!

Her reason totally makes sense.

Things got a little aca-awkward for Rebel Wilson earlier this year after it was discovered she had been lying about her actual age.

But, it turns out the blonde beauty had a pretty good reason for it. The 35-year-old opened up to Who magazine, saying her dishonesty was necessary for her career.

The Australian actress explained that the industry's harsh judgment towards women drove the decision, saying:

"Being an actress it affects women more than men in terms of ageism and sexism so to be called out by the press on something most sensible business-minded people would have done in my position, it was a bit hurtful."

That makes sense, because the truth could have actually hurt the funny lady's career. The Pitch Perfect star continued:

"When you're an actor, you have what's called a playing range; to me, it's not really beneficial having your age written anyway."

It's unfortunate that ladies of a certain age are given less opportunities than their younger colleagues, so we understand why Rebel chose to hide the truth.

Well this is just unnecessarily mean.

Despite having an already impressive 2015 with her Grammys performance and brand-new music video, Madonna isn't the name on everybody's list.

Some radio listeners in England think Her Madgesty is being excluded from BBC Radio 1's playlists because of her age!!!

IMDb Dramz!

The Writers Guild of America, West, is arguing with website IMDb.com about posting ages in profiles on the massive database because they think it could interfere with potential employment because of Hollywood ageism.

Good point!

But IMDb isn't too keen on the idea. A spokesman for the website says:

"IMDb is committed to being the most comprehensive source of film, TV and celebrity information. Customers of IMDb trust that when they use our website, they are receiving comprehensive and accurate biographical information. When we are made aware of information that can be verified as inaccurate, we remove from IMDb, as nothing is more important to us than customer trust."

We kinda see their point, too — it's a tough call!

What do U think?
