A plane carrying 224 people heading for St. Petersburg, Russia from a resort town in Egypt crashed several hours ago, leaving everyone on board dead in an awful tragedy.
The plane, which had just taken off from the resort of Sharm el-Sheikh on the Red Sea on Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, crashed in a desolate region of mountains, according to the country's aviation ministry.
Family members of Russian passengers (above) waited for news of the crash and the status of their relatives and loved ones earlier Saturday morning.
