Donald Trump Talks Stacey Dash, BET, & The All-White Oscars — And Some Of His Comments May Surprise You…

Filed under: TV NewsDonald TrumpChris RockOscarsBET AwardsControversy

Is it just us, or is Donald Trump being the reasonable one?!

Everyone in Hollywood is throwing in their two cents about the lack of diversity in the entertainment industry after the Oscars revealed its twenty acting nominees were all-white for the second consecutive year.

Now, the GOP frontrunner is weighing in on the controversy, saying he thinks everyone should be "represented properly!"

Dialing in on Wednesday's Fox & Friends, the presidential candidate said Hollywood's lack of diversity was "really sad" but still dismissed Rev. Al Sharpton's call for a boycott at this year's award show. He said:

"I think it's a tough situation. I think it's really sad. Al is just a guy who wants to get publicity for himself. And I understand him very well."

The 69-year-old then commented on Stacey Dash's interview from earlier in the morning — where she criticized all-black award shows like the BET Awards — and Trump couldn't agree more, saying he "never even thought of it from that standpoint."

Michael Brown's Family Attorney And Al Sharpton Denounce Grand Jury Process And Ferguson Riots

Al Sharpton speaks at a press conference the day after a grand jury decides not to indict Darren Wilson in the shooting death of Michael Brown Jr.

Michael Brown's family attorneys held a press conference Tuesday, one day after a grand jury decided not to indict Officer Darren Wilson in the shooting death of the Ferguson teen.

Attorneys Benjamin Crump and Anthony Gray were joined by civil rights leader Al Sharpton. All three denounced both the process that let Wilson walk free and the prosecutor in the case, Robert McCulloch.

Crump took the podium first, saying:

"We strenuously objected to this prosecutor and this process … This process is broken. The process should be indicted."

Gray was equally critical of the grand jury process:

"We want equal process. We want justice."

Gray later asked viewers to "hold out hope" for further investigations, strongly suggesting that the Browns would file a wrongful death civil suit.

Michael Brown Jr.'s father Michael Sr. — who wore a "No Justice No Peace" t-shirt — was expected to speak, but did not. "He doesn't want to misspeak because of such emotions that are going through him that will later be held against him," Crump explained.

The night before, Brown's stepfather Louis Head incited rioters by standing atop a car and shouting, "Burn this bitch down." Over a dozen local properties were looted, vandalized, or destroyed after the grand jury's decision was made public by McCulloch. Al Sharpton addressed the violence, which he called "destructive":

Django Unchained can't cut a break!

The controversial Quentin Tarantino film has been making waves for it's subject matter and language, but now, it's the actions figures inspired by the flick that are outraging Rev. Al Sharpton's National Action Network.

The Black activist group is asking for a national boycott of the 10-doll line of Django characters being sold on Amazon for a cool $299.

Rev. K.W. Tullos, NAC's Los Angeles president, said:

LVMH owned perfume house Guerlain is being sued by anti-racism groups after Jean-Paul Guerlain dropped the n-bomb on TV.

During the French state TV interview, Guerlain was asked about his new fragrance Samsara, to which he replied: "I worked like a n****r. I don't know if n*****s have always worked like that, but anyway."

Because of Jean-Paul's insensitive comments, Al Sharpton and other US civil rights activists hope to meet with French president Nicolas Sarkozy to discuss what the perfumier said.
