Director Steven Klein Reveals More About GaGa's Alejandro Video

Since the release of Lady GaGa's new music video for Alejandro, it has been causing quite a bit of controversy - mostly due to the religious imagery and homosexual overtones!

Director of the video, Steven Klein, offers his explanation on the vid's meaning:

"The religious symbolism is not meant to denote anything negative, but represents the character's battle between the dark forces of this world and the spiritual salvation of the Soul.

"Thus at the end of the film, she chooses to be a nun, and the reason her mouth and eyes disappear is because she is withdrawing her senses from the world of evil and going inward towards prayer and contemplation."

He also addresses the scene where Gagaloo puts the rosary in her mouth saying it represents "the desire to take in the holy."

Inneresting!

Stephen Klein Talks Alejandro

As soon as Lady Gaga's new video dropped, people either loved it or hated it.

Alejandro's director, Stephen Klein, gives the deets on the concept and inspiration for the piece.

He said:

"She likes epics. It fits her personality. We combined dance, narrative and attributes of surrealism. The process was to express Lady Gaga's desire to reveal her heart and bear her soul.

On a music video there is never enough time. We had planned so much and achieved much of that, but of course some of it we were not able due to time constraints.

The politics came out of the story, but was not the official intention."

Wowsa! We wonder what else they would have done if they had the time.

We LOVE the finished product!

Katy Perry Does NOT Like Ale-Ale-Jandro!

kplgjb.jpg

Feeling a little feisty today, are we?

Lady GaGa's latest music video, Alejandro, premiered today, and prompted quite a bit of controversy - this time for its use of Catholic imagery.

Surprisingly, Miz Katy Perry was among those who did not take too kindly to it, and she wrote the following message via her Twitter:

Using blasphemy as entertainment is as cheap as a comedian telling a fart joke.

One person's blasphemy is another's cupcake bra with exploding frosting!

What do U think?? Does Katy have a point??
