Watson On Jeopardy: "Pathetic Humans!" Followed By Evil Laughter

Asimo Happy To Hear That World Domination Has Started

And so it begins.

Last night's showdown between the computer Watson and two returning human champions on Jeopardy turned brutal as the machine crushed its opponents!

We suppose it was embarrassed by its tie on the first night! Machines can be embarrassed, right?!

Team Human, what happened??

Well, here's what happened:

"Veteran human champs Ken Jennings and Brad Rutter scored only five correct responses between them during the Double Jeopardy! round. They ended this first game of a two-game match, which began on Monday's broadcast, with a mere $2,400 and $5,400 respectively. Watson emerged from the Final Jeopardy! round with whopping $35,734."

We read that like 4 or 5 times, but all we could gather from it was we need to prepare pretty fast for our new machine overlords.

LOLz!

Ken and Brad, it's okay bbs! We only relied on you to keep the biggest power struggle know to man in balance!

In all seriousness, good try guys!

The second game between the three will air tonight!

Thoughts??

Humans Tie Computer On Jeopardy

All Hail Our Robot Overlord Masters

Go Team Human!

Looks like the IBM trivia computer Watson has only tied one of his human opponents on Jeopardy, instead of squashing them like puny bugs.

Which is kind of a relief.

Also a relief is the fact that Watson's on stage appearance is just a representation of him, and that the actual monstrosity of a computer is in a different location, too large to participate.

The relief comes in the fact that we won't be waking up having Watson staring over us at night, globe spinning, confidence levels at 97% in our destruction!

Though, I guess we should worry that wherever it is, it waits. First Jeopardy victory, then the WORLD. LOLz!

All joking aside, this little experiment is completely inneresting to us! Not only are the human contestants stepping up to the challenge, but it's absolutely uncanny that a computer is holding its own and with a delicate voice.

Here's a very basic description on how Watson works:

"IBM trumpets Watson, which has been in development for years and has the processing power of 2,800 "powerful computers," as a major advancement in machines' efforts to understand human language. The computer receives clues through digital texts and then buzzes in against the two other "Jeopardy!" contestants like any other player would. It juggles dozens of lines of reasoning at once and tries to arrive at a smart answer."

Kind of amazing, isn't it? You can catch the continuation of Watson on Wednesday night's Jeopardy!

Humans: good luck bbs!

Who are U rooting for??
