Shailene Woodley is standing her ground.
As we reported, the 24-year-old was the only person arrested earlier this month for protesting the building of the Dakota Access Pipeline in Sioux County, North Dakota, where she and about 100 others had gathered to hopefully prevent the construction from taking place.
On Wednesday, the Divergent star pleaded not guilty to charges of criminal trespass and engaging in a riot, E! News reports.
We're hearing the actress's attorney Alexander Reichert entered the plea on Shailene's behalf as the activist entered a waiver of appearance so that she wouldn't have to be physically present in the courtroom.
While there is no court date set as of yet, we will certainly keep you updated.
