How horrible.

Leslie Carter (middle of picture above), sister of Nick Carter and Aaron Carter died Tuesday in upstate New York at the age of 25.

She was an aspiring singer and even had a single Like Wow! on the Shrek soundtrack.

No details on the cause of death, but the family did release this statement:

"Our family is grieving right now and it’s a private matter. We are deeply saddened for the loss of our beloved sister, daughter, and granddaughter, Leslie Carter. We request the utmost privacy during this difficult time."

She leaves behind her four siblings as well as her husband, Mike and her nearly one-year old daughter, Alyssa Jane.

So, so sad.

We are just so saddened about this news. The Carter family is in our thoughts.
