On Thursday's show, the TV host added her voice to activist Tarana Burke's movement by sharing her thoughts on the viral campaign that has blown the lid off of sexual harassment and assault.

After Alyssa Milano and many others shared via social media late last week, it was Ellen's turn to step up.

In a heartfelt open to her crowded audience, she shared:

"It is not a male thing, or a female thing. It is not a Hollywood thing, or a political thing. This is a human thing."

Men On Twitter Launch The #HowIWillChange Campaign To Support Alyssa Milano's #MeToo Movement!

Men may've actually learned something from the Me Too campaign.

As you've likely seen, thousands of women (and countless men too) have shared their personal experiences with sexual harassment and assault. This Twitter movement came to fruition thanks to a conversation between Alyssa Milano and a pal about Harvey Weinstein's misconduct.

While the movement has allowed many women to speak their truth — including America Ferrera, Ilana Glazer, Evan Rachel Wood, etc. — it has also served as a "wake up call" for several men. Thankfully, rather than shame the victims coming forward, numerous men have launched their own campaign all about how they can change and do better.

The idea came about thanks to one Australian Twitter user, named Benjamin Law, who proposed online:

Thousands of people have come forward to open up about their experiences with sexual harassment and assault — and it's all thanks to Alyssa Milano.

On Sunday, the phrase "me too" began trending on Twitter after the Charmed alum took to the social media site to share an idea for a sexual misconduct awareness campaign. The concept, which was first conceived by an acquaintance of Alyssa's, encourages those who've been sexually harassed or assaulted to share the words "me too" to prove "magnitude of the problem."

Chrissy Teigen, Mark Ruffalo, & Countless Others Join Rose McGowan's #WomenBoycottTwitter Movement After Account Suspension

We doubt Twitter is pleased about this.

On Thursday, Rose McGowan announced that she, along with many other women on Twitter, would be boycotting the social media site on October 13. Why?? Well, the #WomenBoycottTwitter movement came about after the service temporarily suspended the Charmed alum's account amid tweets about Harvey Weinstein and Ben Affleck.

As we reported, the fashion designer announced her decision to leave her husband, Harvey Weinstein, after he was exposed for decades-worth of sexual harassment allegations.

Until now, the 44-year-old actor stayed uncharacteristically quiet out about the scandal of respect for her Project Runway All Stars costar — but now, it's time for her to speak up.
