But after being convicted of murdering Meredith Kercher yet again yesterday, Raffaele finally tried to flee!

Italian police stopped Sollecito near the border of Austria and Slovenia early Friday morning. Authorities believe he was trying to leave the country, something he’s not allowed to do during his legal proceedings and especially not now that he’s been found guilty for a second time.

Amanda Knox and her Italian ex-boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito were once again found guilty of killing British student Meredith Kercher on Thursday!

A judge has now sentenced Amanda to 28 years behind bars!

This new verdict comes less than three years after both Knox and Sollecito were acquitted of the murder and released from an Italian prison after serving four years!

Now living in Seattle, Amanda spoke out today about the court’s new decision, admitting that the verdict has left her frightened!

Amanda said in a statement:

"I am frightened and saddened by this unjust verdict. Having been found innocent before, I expected better from the Italian justice system.”

Knox’s lawyers have stressed that they will appeal any guilty verdict to the Supreme Court. Amanda has also vowed to fight extradition back to Italy, saying she’d rather be a fugitive than return to a cell overseas.

Read Amanda’s entire statement, including her message to the Kercher family below.

An Italian court has once again found Amanda Knox guilty of killing her roommate Meredith Kercher. The verdict, issued by two judges and six jurors, came after several hours of deliberations.

Knox, who already served 4 years in an Italian prison between 2007 and 2011 before an appeals court threw out her previous conviction, is now being sentenced AGAIN!

This time to 28 years!

Amanda has been back in her hometown of Seattle though ever since she was released by authorities three years ago. But will she soon be brought back to Italy to be locked up a second time?

Not yet.

Just as before, when her original case was retried, the new guilty verdict will go before the Italian Supreme Court. But experts believe that with this second conviction, the high court will uphold the sentence given to Knox!

Italy would then have to fight for extradition of Knox and bring her back to Italy to serve her sentence.

But Amanda

Cara Delevingne may have just landed a big part in a movie about the Amanda Knox trial!

From one set to the next!

Cara Delevingne has been allll over the acting world these days, and it sounds like she’s just landed ANOTHER great role!

The heavy-browed model has reportedly signed on star in The Face of an Angel, a flick based on the murder trial of Amanda Knox.

Considering that Cara’s walked for Victoria’s Secret, literally making her "the face of a (Victoria's Secret) angel", it sounds like the perfect match! LOLz!

Despire her resemblance to Amanda, sources say Cara probably won't play the former University for Foreigners student turned murder suspect.

Amanda Knox Refuses To Step On Italian Soil For Appeals Trial!

amanda knox not returning to italy for appeals

Gurl is standing her ground, and that ground certainly isn't in Italy!

Amanda Knox is facing an appeals trial for the 2007 death of Meredith Kercher, but Amanda is refusing to be there when all the dramz goes down.

After being acquitted of the murder in 2011, Amanda was hit by a ton of bricks when it was announced the case would be appealed despite there not really being any new evidence against her.

As the case gears up in Florence, Amanda has told her lawyers she won't be returning to go through it all over again. And we certainly can't blame her!

Even though she was convicted in 2009, it was overturned in 2011, and Amanda soon began getting back to a normal life in Seattle.

And we're guessing she plans to continue that normal life instead of reliving her past with another court case in Italy.

Anderson Cooper Thinks There's No Way Amanda Knox Is Going Back To Italy!

anderson cooper amanda knox italy trial murder extradition not happening

We agree! We don't really see Amanda Knox going back to Italy, even with an extradition order.

Amanda was acquitted of the 2007 stabbing murder in October 2011 and just recently started having a normal life again in Seattle — she was moving on and even got a new boyfriend. It's so strange that this is surfacing yet again, but on the other hand our legal system here works differently than the one in Italy. It might not make sense to us like it does to them or something!

Here's what Anderson said:
