After swift and extremely negative social media feedback, AMC CEO Adam Aron has now released a NEW statement on Friday morning!
It completely walks back everything the exec said earlier about wondering if the company could allow people to keep their phones on during movies.

The AMC Theatres chain has decided to allow children under the age of 17 to buy tickets for the now unrated film, as long as they are with a supervised adult OR they have written permission

Earlier today, Movietickets.com joined a lawsuit against AMC, which was recently filed in Florida by National Amusements and Hollywood Media Corp.
According to the lawsuit, AMC "breached its contract by not selling tickets exclusively through Movietickets.com."
