And dying young. Can't forget that.

What has happened to the U.S.??

According to a study from the National Academy of Sciences, Americans are waaaaaay unhealthier than Canada, Australia, Japan, Britain, France, Portugal, Italy and Germany. Plus eight other countries.

That's gotta be by like, what, 15 people or something? Not a big gap?

Nope — we're sitting comfortably at #1 in infant mortality, injury and homicide rates, teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases, AIDS, drug abuse, obesity and diabetes, heart disease, lung disease, and disabilities. USA!

That's pretty shocking. Know what else is shocking?

Drunk Drivers Are Stupid, Science Wants To Stall Them!

science stall drunk drivers car technology

Cabs exist, DDs are lined up for a reason. No excuses.

People can't seem to grasp that, though, and people continue to die needlessly because of it. Well, science wants to stop that by stalling drunk drivers.

We just have to survive 2013 before we get out hands on the new technology made by a company called Qinetiq. It could end drunk driving, once and for all. All sixteen major carmakers and the federal government split the funding for the $10 million project.

How does it work?

Milk: the new white gold!

Holy shizz! Milk might be hitting $6 a gallon if there's no farm bill resolution!

Congress didn't complete action on the bill this year after it expired in September, and if no fiscal agreement is reached, farmers could face the prospect of returning to an antiquated system for pricing milk that would bring big price increases for consumers.
