Only a few months ago, Demi Lovato celebrated four years of sobriety.
What a milestone!
But in the July issue of American Way, the magazine for American Airlines, the songstress surprisingly opened up and revisited her battle with drug abuse and bulimia.
Demi recounted self-medicating with alcohol, cocaine, and OxyCotin, revealing:
"I lived fast and I was going to die young. I didn't think I would make it to 21."
It was in 2010 the then 18-year-old famously entered rehab after punching a backup dancer while on tour with The Jonas Brothers.
Diagnosed with bulimia and bipolar disorder, the Cool For The Summer singer remembered:
"So now I'm in rehab. And I thought, 'Oh great, now the world thinks I'm just another stereotype.'"
