Now that's just cold.

American Airlines has issued an apology to two pro basketball players who were kicked off a plane after a flight attendant accused them of stealing blankets.

An airline spokesperson confirmed that Marquis Teague and Trahson Burrell of the Memphis Hustle boarded the South Dakota-bound flight at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport on Sunday.

Two first-class passengers handed the NBA G league players their blankets as they headed to their seats in coach. But the warm gesture was torn apart by a flight attendant who accused the athletes of stealing the blankets before forcing them off the plane.

The rep said an airline manager apologized to the players for the turbulence, adding that Burrell and Teague later flew first class to their destination in Sioux Falls, SD.

The flight was operated by Envoy Air, however this incident comes weeks on the heels of AA announcing that it will implement implicit-bias training for its employees.

The decision, announced by Chief executive Doug Parker last month, was in response to the NAACP issuing a travel advisory for AA back in October. The association reported uncovering "a pattern of disturbing

We never thought we'd say this, but… should've flown Delta.

Thousands of American Airlines flights are without pilots next month after a scheduling glitch allowed ALL pilots to take vacation over Christmas week!

While pilots loaded up their schedules with flights in early December, many opted to take days off around the busy holiday travel period simply because the system allowed it.

But it wasn't a miracle in gate 34 — it was all thanks to a computer error that, according to American Airlines captain Dennis Tajer, made the scheduling system go "from responsibly scheduling everybody to becoming Santa Claus to everyone."

Speaking to CNBC, the pilot added:

The rocker and his gal pal were heading back to Miami after a trip to Nassau, Bahamas, and they apparently decided that they couldn't wait for the short (less than an hour!) flight, so they up and got it on in the airplane bathroom with the rest of the passengers just kind of hanging out in their seats!

Move Over, United — American Airlines Gets Hit With A Lawsuit Over Alleged Racist Practices!

There's plenty of room in the skies for airline controversies!

American Airlines temporarily stole the spotlight from United after a pastor claimed he was blocked from a flight just because he's Korean.

TMZ reports Benny Shin filed a lawsuit against AA on Thursday, just a few hours after the injured Dr. David Dao's lawyers held a press conference announcing he would probably be filing a mega lawsuit against United.

Not the best week for airlines… or travel in general.

The 75-year-old alleges he was waiting to board a flight from Dallas to Corpus Christi in June 2016 when the gate agent refused to let him on the plane — even though he paid for his flight and had a seat assignment.

According to the documents, Shin says "5-7 white passengers behind him" were allowed on board.

While American did give him a voucher for a next day flight, Shin says the experience left him feeling humiliated, embarrassed, and scared. He plans to sue for at least $6 million.

We don't have to wonder what might have happened if the passenger refused to be re-accommodated to a later flight.
