Sry, GaGa! Penelope Cruz Takes The Role Of Donatella Versace In American Crime Story Season 3!

no title

Alert the fashion authorities — Ryan Murphy has finally found his Donatella Versace!

Fans were upset to learn earlier this year that Lady GaGa would not be playing the fashion icon in the third season of FX's American Crime Story, despite being kinda the perfect casting choice.

But now all is forgiven, as Murphy traded in the American stunt casting for a European acting treasure — by which we mean Oscar winning actress Penelope Cruz!

According to reports, the Vicky Cristina Barcelona star is set to play the lead role in Versace: American Crime Story!

The third installment of the crime anthology series will explore the murder of Gianni Versace (Edgar Ramirez), who was killed on the steps of his home in Miami Beach by serial killer Andrew Cunanan (Darren Criss).

Cunanan slayed five people that year before killing himself on a houseboat eight days after murdering Versace.

And based on her past roles, we have a feeling Cruz will totally slay this role. Tell us, Perezcious Readers, do YOU think the Spanish beauty will do a better job than GaGa would have?

Ryan Murphy Set To Tackle 1980s New York City In Pose — His 100th FX Drama!

no title

Pretty soon, every show on FX will be helmed by Ryan Murphy.

The prolific producer is currently working on multiple seasons of American Horror Story, American Crime Story, and Feud for the cable network — but he's still got more dramas up his sleeve!

The primetime powerhouse's latest project has been revealed, and it's missing one signature Murphian element: this drama is… *GASP* not an anthology series!!

That's right! Murphy's new show Pose will be an ongoing series following several segments of life and society in New York in 1986.

According to reports, the series will explore the rise of the luxury Trump-era yuppies, the downtown social and literary scene, and the ball culture world.

Casting has already begun for the series, which is expected to feature largely new and unknown performers and slated for a 2018 release.

Murphy is writing the drama with his AHS collaborator Brad Falchuk and Stephen Canals. The three will executive produce with The People v. O.J. Simpson's Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson.

Sounds like Pose will be another luxurious primetime notch on Murphy's belt! Are U excited?

America's Next Reality Star May Be… O.J. Simpson!?

Keeping Up With O.J.?

Public fascination with O.J. Simpson resurged last year after hit shows like American Crime Story and O.J.: Made In America dissected the murder trial of the former NFL star.

Well, it looks like the disgraced athlete may be on TV again sooner that later, as he could be released from prison as early as October, and is already eyeing some opportunities in reality TV.

TMZ spoke with several reality production companies, agents, and platforms where a show could potentially find a home. While no details were given, most respondents agreed O.J.'s potential show would most likely be a documentary or interview format.

In case you've forgotten, over a decade ago Simpson co-wrote the book If I Did It — in which his co-author claims he confessed to the double murder — and subsequently shot a TV special in 2006 which featured the guilty passage.

The special was never aired due to public outcry, but producers today are certain some thirsty platform will recreate the special that was never broadcast.

But don't get too nervous (excited?) just yet; industry experts say broadcast and cable networks would never

Ryan Murphy Confirms American Horror Story's PERFECT Season Seven Theme! WATCH!

The 2016 presidential election was a NIGHTMARE… so it only seems right that it's inspiring the next season of American Horror Story.

On Wednesday, Ryan Murphy stopped by Andy Cohen's Watch What Happens Live and got candid about his plans for the seventh season of the FX hit. Hmmmm, go on!

Video: Sarandon & Lange Get Petty In The Trailer For Feud!

While the Glee creator stayed tight-lipped about whether or not there will be a Donald Trump character, the industry vet DID confirm that the next season "is going to be about the election we just went through." In fact, Mr. Murphy thinks AHS7 "will be interesting for a lot of people."

Not to mention, alums of the anthology series, including Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters, are slated to return to AHS. The horror miniseries was renewed for two more seasons back in January AND begins filming again in June.

Nonetheless, we shouldn't be SO shocked to learn about the 51-year-old's politically driven content, especially since he plans to tackle Bill Clinton's sex scandal with Monica Lewinsky for an upcoming season of American Crime Story. Be sure to ch-ch-check out Ryan's discussion about AHS with Andy (above), and then take a peek at his tease about casting for his various different shows (below)!

Another day, another celebrity split.

On Thursday, Cuba Gooding Jr. filed for divorce from wife Sara Gooding after 23 years of marriage.

The American Crime Story star's divorce petition was actually in response to Gooding's 2014 request for the couple's separation. It is unclear why it took Cuba three years to pull the cord.

The two were married in 1994 and have three children. The Jerry Maguire thespian is asking for joint legal and physical custody, and is open to giving Sara spousal support.

However, the 49-year-old actor wants to keep ALL of the money he made since the 2014 petition. This includes his earnings from The People v. O.J. Simpson.

Where is the love, y'all??
