Ryan Murphy is evidently casting his spell on Hollywood because the next season of American Horror Story just got EVEN MORE star-studded!

Believe it or not, Gabourey Sidibe and Kathy Bates aren't the only one throwing their acting chops in American Horror Story: Coven's witchy cauldron!!!

Hollywood pros Patti Lupone and Angela Bassett were confirmed for the third season of the spooky hit show by the genius co-creator via Twitter.

Gabourey Sidibe is in for a whole mess of trouble thanks to being cast in American Horror Story: Coven!

The Oscar nominee has no clue WHAT she's in for, but she's ready for a witchin' good time.

Gabourey gushed:

"I'm so excited and I could not wait to tell the world because it's one of my favorite shows. I know nothing. The news just sort of came in two weeks ago…I have not seen a script at all. I know it shoots in New Orleans!"

Ahh, yes. In traditional Ryan Murphy fashion, the creator refuses to spill ANYTHING about the third season and being the true artist she is, Gab is FINE with that….

On one MAJOR condition!

The actress continued:

"I hope I don't die first!"

And we're sure the mastermind behind the hit show knows what a waste of talent THAT would be.

There hasn't been too much news about American Horror Story since it was announced that the upcoming third season would be subtitled Coven and premiering Halloween night this coming October, but now that series creator Ryan Murphy appears to wrapping up production on Glee and The New Normal for the year, he's ready to start sharing news about the FX horror anthology!

And this one is a squeal-inducing DOOZY, as Precious herself, Gabourey Sidibe, will be joining the witchy-ranks alongside Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Lily Rabe, Taissa Farmiga and Frances Conroy!

For its first two seasons, American Horror Story has had its fair share of ghosts, devil babies, serial killer, mutants, aliens, and now, it's officially confirmed that for the third season…WITCHES are coming!

So many, in fact, that the official title has been revealed to be American Horror Story: Coven!

Series creator Ryan Murphy made the announcement during the 2013 PaleyFest Panel last night, while also not only CONFIRMING that Kathy Bates will be going head-to-head with alum Jessica Lange for this installment of the anthology frightfest, but that as speculated, production will move on-location to New Orleans!

And that may just be the START!
