Shonda Rimes is NOT happy with the media these days as she believes they've downplayed some of the racist stuff from Amy Pascal's emails that were leaked in that big Sony hack!

The emails between Amy and Scott Rudin about President Barack Obama involved them guessing what his favorite movies are and they estimated some would be Django Unchained and The Butler and the context was Barack would like these because both movies had African American lead actors.

Bond 23 And 24 Officially A Go! MGM Secures Sony Deal!

bond-23-and-bond-24-officially-secure-for-release

Excellent! This means we're secured at least two more!

The future of the Bond franchise was uncertain for quite some there, due to the films' distributors, MGM, having serious financial problems, but luckily, the studio has officially closed a deal with Sony to distribute not only the upcoming, Sam Mendes-directed Bond 23, but the shoe-in follow-up, Bond 24!

According to the official press release from MGM Co-Chairmen and Chief Executive Officers Gary Barber and Roger Birnbaum:

“Sony Pictures is the ideal studio partner for us as MGM re-enters the filmmaking business. We have longstanding relationships with Michael and Amy and look forward to what promises to be a prosperous future together.”

And Sony Pictures Chairman and CEO Michael Lynton and Co-Chairman Amy Pascal elaborate:

“In addition to working together on Bond, this deal expands our relationship with MGM as we explore co-financing opportunities on other high-profile projects. Gary and Roger are incredibly thoughtful and experienced leaders who are outstanding creative executives and respected moviemakers. While we are excited to be back in the Bond business, we also look forward to future collaborations and I am confident that this agreement will be long-term, lucrative, and beneficial to both studios. After successfully working on the re-launch of the James Bond franchise with Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace, we could not be more proud or privileged to continue our association with Barbara Broccoli, Michael G. Wilson, Daniel Craig, and the talented teams at EON and MGM."

Phew! That was a little touch and go there for a while!

We're just happy that an agreement has been made, and we won't be missing out on any hawt Daniel Craig spy action!

His casting really re-vitalized the franchise, and we want to see as many movies with him in the role as possible! Especially one directed by Sam Mendes!

Now get along and secure the rest of the cast, guys! We want this one to be EPIC!

James Cameron Says Angelina As Cleopatra Is In The Works!

angelina jolie as cleopatra

OMG! That would be amazing!

James Cameron recently divulged that the Cleopatra film, possibly starring Angelina Jolie, does not have to be a fantasy as the project is still in development.

He said:

"There's a Cleopatra project in work, meaning that it's been in development at Sony. And it's a subject that's always fascinated me. So yeah, I've been talking to them about it. But no decisions have been made.

But it sounds hot, doesn't it? I mean, Angelina Jolie and Cleopatra? To me, that's like a slam dunk. Whether I wind up doing it or not, I think it's going to be a great project."

Sony Pictures Entertainment Co-Chair Amy Pascal fast-tracked the project after screenwriter Brian Helgeland turned in a "brilliant script". The movie, based on the book Cleopatra: A Life, is aiming for PG-13 rating and planned to be released in 3-D.
