Gilmore Girls Fanatics Can Visit The Real Life Stars Hollow At Epic Fan Festival! Find Out When!

no title

Every Gilmore Girls fan has the same wish of one day visiting Stars Hollow — the fictional, quaint Connecticut town where the folks are friendly and attractive and talk like they're all on cocaine.

Thankfully, fans can finally visit the actual place that inspired the hometown of Lorelai and Rory for an epic Gilmore Girls Fan Fest later this year!

From October 21 to 23, the town of Washington Depot — a Connecticut village creator Amy Sherman-Palladino once visited before developing the hit series — will be turned into a real-life Stars Hollow for the ultimate fan festival!

The full schedule isn't set yet, but the event's official website teases plenty of references to the beloved series, including "a town troubadour," a knit-a-thon, and "as much caffeine as possible," of course!

The New England event will also have Gilmore trivia, screenings of top-voted episodes, and even appearances by some of the cast members — including Kelly Bishop (Emily Gilmore), Jackson Douglas (Jackson Belleville), and Yanic Truesdale (Michel Gerard)!

This folksy festival comes ahead of the highly-anticipated Netflix revival Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life, which is set for a November 25 release — so, there's a chance Lauren Graham or Alexis Bledel might even make a surprise appearance as well!

Fans better book their rooms at the Dragonfly Inn fast, because this will be one can't-miss event!

We've only waited nine years… no rush.

One of the most anticipated TV events of 2016 is taking place online as Netflix revives Gilmore Girls after it was tragically cut short back in 2007.

Almost the entire cast is coming back for the reboot — rest in peace, Sookie — but characters aren't the only aspect of continuity that Amy Sherman-Palladino is focusing on with her second chance.

The whole gang's back together!

We were already sold on Netflix's upcoming Gilmore Girls revival when we thought only a handful of the original cast was coming back, but with each new announcement, our anticipation only heightens!

When the streaming service officially picked up the 4-episode reboot two weeks ago, it was originally reported that only Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Scott Patterson, Kelly Bishop, Sean Gunn, and Keiko Agena had agreed to move back to Stars Hollow.

Since then, Milo Ventimiglia, Liza Weil, Matt Czuchry, and Yanic Truesdale have all confirmed their participation, and Thursday marked even more great news for the family-friendly series.

That's because Jared Padalecki, David Sutcliffe, and Sutton Foster are all signed on for the 90-minute mini-movies!

Melissa McCarthy Says She Wasn't Even Asked To Join The Gilmore Girls Reunion — And It Sounds Like She Has No Plans To Come Back!

No Sookie for you, Gilmore Girls fans!

We had a tiny glimmer of hope that Melissa McCarthy might make a small cameo in the Gilmore Girls revival — but now that hope is dead!

In a recent interview, series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino said they would "write her a scene" if the Spy star had any free time available from her busy filming schedule.

Sherman-Palladino reportedly told Melissa's team that the production would "put her right in" a scene if she were to drop by when she was available.

But that's not what the Ghostbusters star is saying!

Responding to a fan inquiry on Twitter on Tuesday, the 45-year-old seemed to make it pretty clear that she wasn't planning on coming back to the series. She wrote:

Is Melissa McCarthy Too 'F*cking Busy' To Return To Gilmore Girls? Creator Amy Sherman-Palladino Dishes!

We're beyond excited for the Gilmore Girls revival to bring back our favorite characters from Stars Hollow!

Though some of the original castmates won't be returning for the four-part Netflix miniseries, series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino is willing to pull some strings for one former cast member turned movie star — Melissa McCarthy!

The writer explained that she would LOVE for the actress to make a quick cameo as Sookie St. James in the revival, but isn't getting her hopes up due to McCarthy's insane filming schedule!

Netflix's Gilmore Girls Revival Is Officially On With Almost The Entire Original Cast — But Which Stars WON'T Be Joining Them?

no title

This is too much for us to handle.

We were pleasantly surprised back in October when those rumors that Gilmore Girls was getting a Netflix reboot turned out to be true, but now we're left sitting here in painstaking anticipation.

While there have been conflicting reports regarding the structure of the WB classic's new episodes, we are happy to say we now know which of the original cast members are already signed on for the revival!

Obviously, Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel will be returning to Stars Hollow as Lorelai and Rory Gilmore — there wouldn't even be a show to reboot without them — but they'll reportedly be joined by Scott Patterson, Kelly Bishop, Sean Gunn, and Keiko Agena!

Plus, we're hearing that Amy Sherman-Palladino and David Palladino will both be back on as executive producers and writers with Dorothy Parker Drank Here Productions.

While we'll have to pour one out for the absences of Melissa McCarthy, Jared Padalecki, Liza Weil, Milo Ventimiglia, and Matt Czuchry, we guess it's a good thing they're too busy with their current gigs to take a break.

Are U excited to see Lorelai, Rory, Luke, Emily, Kirk, and Lane back on your television computer screens in late 2016??

P.S. Rest in peace, Edward Herrmann. We'll miss ya.

Next Week, On Bunheads

We pointe our toes with uber-enthusiam, as we are officially besotted by Amy Sherman-Palladino's ballet-based Bunheads!

Monday night's pilot of ABC family's new quick-wit dramedy was explosive, touching, FUNNY, and darlingly different than its network sister-shows.

So what will become of displaced Vegas showgirl Michelle (Sutton Foster) now that her stalker-husband has snuffed it?! Will she find her groove as dance-instructer under straight-laced mother-in-law Fanny (Kelly Bishop)?

Dance your fingers over the play button and get a taste of next week's episode (above)!

Hoorah for quality summer TV!
