Ready for some new housewives maids?!

We mentioned about a month ago that Lifetime had been eyeing up Marc Cherry’s Devious Maids and now it looks like they've nabbed the show!

The network has officially picked up the Desperate Housewives creator’s new show, ordering 13 episodes for a 2013 launch!

While the show was originally produced for ABC, the network ended up passing on the dramedy series!

In a joint statement, Lifetime’s president Nancy Dubuc and EVP Rob Sharenow said:

Although Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry’s latest pilot, Devious Maids, got passed on by ABC, that doesn’t mean it’s a no-go!

Reportedly, the Lifetime network has been eyeing up the drama series for its fall lineup!

Cherry is supposedly in talks with the network for a full season, after it failed to gain enough interest from other networks.

It was a joyful Saturday for Ugly Betty star Ana Ortiz!

The actress and her husband Noah Lebenzon welcomed their second child, a son, who weighed in at 7 lbs., 7 oz.

The couple named their newborn Rafael, but have yet to decide on a middle name. Ana explains:

"It has to be Spanish. But something non-speakers can pronounce without mauling."

Rafael joins Ana's two-year-old daughter Paloma Louise who was born in june 2009.

As everyone knows by now, Ugly Betty got canned a few months ago and the cast and crew are preparing the final episodes of the show.

However, judging by all the smiles in New York today, we think they are making the best of a bad situation. America Ferrera, Becki Newton and Ana Ortiz look like they are taking it all in stride as they just enjoy their last few moments as a cast. How sweet!
