Well..this is one epic way to celebrate a Best Actress Oscars win!

Cate Blanchett and fellow nominee Amy Adams decided to commemorate their epic award season with some fresh ink!

SRSLY!

The Blue Jasmine star was spotted outside Shamrock Social Club tattoo parlor in West Hollywood on Monday with her hubby, Andrew Upton—along with Amy and her fiancé Darren Le Gallo in tow!

As the foursome exited the fancy tattoo palace, you can see Darren and Cate emerge with clearly visible post-tattoo bandages—which is all sorts of bad-assery!

No word on if Miz Adams got inked since she was wearing a long billowy top, but it's still pretty cool they wanted to experience the pain together!

Wonder what Cate got permanently stamped on her perfectly ivory skin!?

Guess we'll be on strict #TattooWatch until the design is revealed!

Ch-ch-check out a close up of the actress' tatted evidence in the gallery (below!)

Cate Blanchett Takes Her Hubby To The Theater In Australia

Cute couple alert!

Cate Blanchett and hubby Andrew Upton posed happily in front of the psychedelic step and repeat at the Season Launch of the Sydney Theatre Company in Australia on Thursday.

Not only are they loving partners in marriage, but they're also the co-artistic directors of the theater!

And it doesn't pain us to say that Cate one-upped her lovah in the fashion arena, looking sharp in a knit sheath dress featuring an abstract jungle print that looked like an orgy of anacondas, or something.

It's pretty wild!

Andrew was far more subdued, and adorably rumpled, in a black suit and salmon button-up.

We just love these two together!

Cate Blanchett Supports Rainwater Harvesting

Cate Blanchett and husband

Cate Blanchett was on hand to support the Sydney Theatre Company's "Greening the Wharf" initiative which captures rainwater from the roof and stores it to service the building's showers and toilets.

The actress attended the launch event for the rain harvesting system with her husband, Andrew Upton, who serves as an artistic director for the theatre company with Cate.

She commented on the reticulation system that provides 100% of non-potable water to all the arts companies at The Wharf, saying:

"We're all pleased to bring this innovative engineering technology into our creative lives today and indeed to be a showcase of how such systems can function to great economic and societal benefit."

We're happy to hear Cate is so environmentally conscious and willing lead the utilization of rain harvesting technology.

Cate Blanchett Covers W

Flawless!

Cate Blanchett is in the June issue of W looking as gorgeous as ever!

Inside the mag, the boob squishing cover star dishes on her personal life with her hubby.

Here are some highlights from the interview:

On her inaccurate public perception:

"I’m so misunderstood! I’m not focused on what other people think of me. Some people get you and some people don’t, and to spend your life trying to make people understand how deep and complex and varied you are—I think that way lies madness."

On her husband’s influence:

"My husband keeps me really honest. I remember him saying to me after I made Elizabeth, ‘Sweetheart, you’ve probably got about about five years.’ He was preparing me for the time when the work dries up, as it invariably does."

Husband and playwright Andrew Upton, on his wife as a coworker:

"She challenges, but she’s not aggressive. I can tend to be a bit scattergun. She’s quite practical in the end, so I often just fire off, and she’ll sort of pick up the pieces or choose the best bits. She would be the first and pretty much only person I would seriously seek counsel from. We’re fairly brutal with each other."

On working with her husband:

"We’re really open. I have friends—she’s an actor/writer married to a director—and she was horrified when we said we were going to work together. She said they don’t talk about work because they don’t want to venture into the territory of being criticized by you partner. But I know what to do with the criticism."

Sounds like they have a great relationship. Other couples should take notes!
