The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey just screened at CinemaCon 2012 and responses were lukewarm at best.
It was only a 10 minute clip of
Peter Jackson’s HIGHly anticipated sequel to last decade’s box-office destroying Lord of the Rings trilogy but some fans were left upset and betrayed.
Many of the complaints surrounded a needless conversion to 3-D, saying it looked like video or generally unfinished.

heard from director Peter Jackson, he brought us on location to New Zealand and gave us a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at the Hobbit shoot!

"'Serkis & Tilda are singing 'Is There Life on Mars?' That’s a dare! That’s an excellent dare. Okay, Patton, you’re on. Let’s get Andy and let’s go for it!”

We're not sure how this one even got started, even though
does kinda look like a young Megan Fox Liz Taylor!
Either way, Megan has just spoken up and denied that she's in talks for the role:

Fox is pushing the Academy of Motion Pictures and Sciences for an Best Supporting Actor nod for Oscar Andy Serkis and his role in Rise of the Planet of the Apes.
But Serkis's face never on screen.
Tom Rothman is asking the Academy to consider Serkis who he feels was snubbed for his work on the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Serkis is famous for his motion capture roles.
Having played Gollum in
LOTR, Serkis played Caesar, the main chimp in the Apes flick.
Rothman said the following about Serkis's push:
academy of motion pictures and sciences, andy serkis, lord of the rings, motion actor, oscars, rise of the planet of the apes
We showed you the trailer for
Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes a couple months ago, but now a newer, more action-packed trailer has been released. And this time, we get a closer look at Caesar, the ape.
The story centers around
's character who is testing a potential Alzheimer's cure on Caesar. When the ape gets a hold of the drug and releases it to his fellow apes, an uprising begins. James Franco
The CGI effects are out of control in this movie.
Andy Serkis is the man behind Caesar. Freida Pinto, John Lithgow, and (yes, Draco Malfoy!!!) also star in the movie! Tom Felton
It looks pretty amazing! We can't wait to see the final cut in August.

Wow! This must be such a cool opportunity for him!
Andy Serkis will not only be reprising his role in The Lord of the Rings trilogy as Gollum in the upcoming Peter Jackson-directed prequel, The Hobbit, but this time around, he'll also be the second unit director on the fantasy epic!
"There is really a sense of [director] Peter [Jackson] wanting people around him who totally understand the material and the work ethic. I will be very much on the live-action sets and locations helping Peter to tell the story."
Wow! Talk about a trusting relationship!
We're sure must be thrilled to take on this exciting new role!
Best of luck, Presh!
