If there’s one thing the MTV Movie Awards' opening left us with, it’s our NEED for more Pitch Perfect.

But the Gods at Universal Pictures have answered our pleas with a confirmed 2015 release date for the HIGHlarious film’s sequel Pitch Perfect 2!!!

Yep, that’s right. Rebel Wilson and Anna Kendrick will — presumably — be returning to the musical big screen and make sweet, sweet music with the rest of the cast!

Head of Universal Pictures Adam Fogelson made the announcement today at CinemaCon, and we have to admit he couldn’t have timed it better — post Rebel’s stellar MTV hosting gig!

WE. ARE. STOKED.

Now, someone hand us a cup. We have a routine to learn.

Anna Kendrick may not be able to join her Pitch Perfect castmates during their opening performance of the ceremony, hosted by co-star Rebel Wilson, but that doesn't mean she doesn't have any music to contribute to the offerings this Sunday!

Aww! Keep your chin up, gurl!!

Rebel Wilson is totes excited about hosting the MTV Movie Awards this weekend, but she thinks her chances of beating Jennifer Lawrence in the Best Female Performance category are virtually nil!

The budding young superstar admitted:

"…I’m not going to win with all these awesome people nominated. Like, as if I’m going to beat Jennifer Lawrence? Somehow I don’t think so! … I’m up for like three different awards, but I would just love to win one award! … [A]ll of us in Pitch Perfect are nominated for Best Musical Moment, so I hope we all get to win in that category. That’d be mad."

Don't set yourself up for defeat, Rebel — that's just stinkin' thinking!!

We understand why J.Law — fresh off her Oscars victory — is an intimidating opponent, but Rebel's Pitch Perfect performance was, well, pitch perfect!!

The award could go to anyone!!!

There's also more to life than winning and losing. Even without Anna Kendrick, we're super stoked to see the Barden Bellas reunite on stage!!

This just totally brightened up our day! The cast of Pitch Perfect will be REUNITING at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards.

BETTER YET, they’ll be PERFORMING in the opening number with the show’s host and fellow co-star Rebel Wilson. Prepare to catch Anna Kendrick, Brittany Snow, Anna Camp, Skyler Astin, and the rest of the group sing a mash-up of the songs from the film.

The film — that has already joined the ranks of cult classics — also happens to be nominated for four MTV Movie Awards: Best Female, Best Breakthrough Performance, Best Musical Moment, and Best WTF Moment.

Update: Anna Kendrick's rep has confirmed that the actress will unfortunately not be attending the MTV Movie Awards. She will be in NYC working on her latest film project The Last Five Years. Too bad! We were so hoping for a proper Pitch Perfect reunion!

Anna Kendrick looks all kinds of ADORBS covered in flour!

On the set of her music video for upcoming film-soundtrack-to-radio single, Cups, the adorable Pitch Perfect star took to her Instagram to share a picture of herself in an apron and kitchen gear.

And it looks like things got quite messy!

Cups, originally a Lulu and the Lampshades, was remade by Anna for the Pitch Perfect soundtrack. But it was recently announced that the song would be remixed for radio release as well.

Think Anna’s voice has what it takes to achieve mainstream radio success?

We don’t think she should be too worried. We already know this one's capable of anything.

P.S. The pint-size actress looks completely unfazed by her recent breakup from long-time love, Edgar Wright. Way to go, lady!
