Maroon 5 Protests Arizona Immigration Law, Will Not Tour There Either!

Amazing! Glad to see they're against such a RIDICULOUS law!

Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine has revealed that when he and the band start touring their new album, Hands All Over, they WILL be joining the long list of talent that is boycotting Arizona due to the new immigration laws!

He says:

"I did an interview in Tucson on the radio. [The host] asked about playing there. I said it was a really difficult decision to make because we have fans out there that are being penalized essentially by us not playing, so it's a really difficult decision to make. It really kind of comes down to what feels right, and it really didn't feel right to play there and reward Arizona for what we thought was a really bad decision. We're just citizens. It's always good to look at everything that we're talking about, discussing, debating or standing up for as an issue, not to grandstand, necessarily, our beliefs, but kind of just follow our hearts, as cheesy as that sounds, and say, 'Look, this is how I feel, so I'm going to do this.'"

It's not cheesy! Like you said, it's the right thing to do, and your support is very much appreciated, bb!

Thanks for taking a stand!

Lilith Fair Pulls Out Of Arizona Tour Date!

So many musicians are speaking out!!

Despite their underwhelming ticket sales, the revived Lilith Fair this summer has cancelled their July 8th performance in Arizona - and many are speculating that it's due to artists protesting the HOrrific new immigration laws!

A few weeks ago, Go-Go's singer Belinda Carlisle wrote this message on her facebook:

"the gogo's are encouraging lilith to move this date to another state in protest of the new immigration law. we are NOT supporting the state government. i don't like mixing business and politics but i'm afraid i have to this time."

Last week, this press release was issued:

"The Lilith Fair date scheduled for July 8 in Phoenix has been cancelled and refunds can be made at point of purchase. At this time, The Go-Go’s have not been informed as to why the show was canceled. We regret the loss of the date on our farewell tour as we know we have many devoted fans in Arizona."

It's so unfortunate that Arizona fans have to suffer the consequences of their government's actions, but we applaud these performers for standing up for what they believe in!

What do U think?? Is Lilith Fair doing the right thing?? Or could there be another reason they pulled out of their Arizona show??

Kanye West Takes A Stand Against Arizona Immigration Laws!

This is the Kanye West that we love!

The rapper is the latest musician to boycott performing in Arizona as a form of protest in regard to the state's RIDICULOUS immigration laws!

He says:

"When Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat, they arrested her. As a result, people got together and said, 'We are not going to ride the bus until they change the law.' It was this courageous action that sparked the Montgomery bus boycott.

What if we got together, signed a collective letter saying, 'We're not going to ride the bus', saying 'We are not going to comply. We are not going to play in Arizona. We are going to boycott Arizona?!'

We're 100% behind you, 'Nye!

Thanks for taking a stand. Keeping doing good, bb!

Cypress Hill Cancels AZ Concert In Protest Of Immigration Law

Wow! We really have to applaud them!

Cypress Hill has cancelled an upcoming concert in Arizona as way to protest the RIDICULOUS and unconstitutional immigration law that allows officials to detain anyone they think might be an illegal immigrant.

The group says in a statement:

"This decision was made in an effort to show support and solidarity with those, undocumented and otherwise, being directly affected by this unconstitutional law. Cypress Hill recognizes those living in the struggle for their basic civil rights."

Amazing! We're glad they chose to take a stand!

Seth MacFarlane Compares Arizona's Anti-Immigration Law To Nazi Germany!

Seth MacFarlane is the latest celeb to protest Arizona's new controversial anti-immigration law.

The Family Guy creator has made some bold statements, comparing the law to Nazi Germany.

He says:

"It's too much. It's kind of a slap in the face, it's not the way to handle it…Nobody but the Nazis ever asked anybody for their papers. Walking down the street, a cop can come up to you and say 'May I see your papers?' — I think they should be required to ask that question in German if the law sticks around."

When asked why he thought the bill had been passed, MacFarlane said, "I don't know, people are getting crazier maybe…When I read that, I said, 'Wow, that's more shocking and egregious than anything we've ever done on the show, and it's a law.'"

He does have a point…

What do U think?
