Apology NOT Accepted! Jewish Rights Group Says Gary Oldman Needs To Do More Before He Can Be Forgiven For What He Said In Playboy!

Gary Oldman said he was sorry in a statement yesterday. But that’s still not enough for the Anti-Defamation League! The Jewish rights group is blasting the 56-year-old actor for his hurtful words and saying an apology just won’t do it!

National director of the ADL Abraham H. Foxman spoke out today, saying:

"We have just began a conversation with his managing producer. At this point, we are not satisfied with what we received. His apology is insufficient and not satisfactory.”

Gary of course got himself into this mess after calling the Mel Gibson controversy a moment of pure hypocrisy.

He spilled his feelings to Playboy magazine in an interview, saying:

The rapper was spitting rhymes at a mostly empty stadium!

According to reports, only 4,500 Missourians purchased tickets to see him; the concert venue was 3/4 empty when he took the stage!

What's Up With This Wave Of Anti-Semitism Lately??

Filed under: Icky Icky PooMusic Minute

A Sony music division from Japan has issued an apology for a band currently under their management.

The band in question, Kishidan, had an international Jewish group launch a complaint about the way the band was dressed for an MTV performance earlier this week.

This is what they wore:

Images broadcast on the "Megavector" program show the six-member band in black uniforms resembling those of Nazi soldiers, with distinctive red arm bands and epaulets.

Not good, you guys, not good. Why would ANYONE think that's okay??

How good was the apology?

Here's what it said:

"Although it was not meant to carry any ideological meaning whatsoever, we deeply regret and apologize for the distress it has caused Simon Wiesenthal Center and all concerned," read the statement, which was signed by two executives from the subsidiary.

Doesn't seem very heartfelt to us.

Way way way too many instances of anti-semitic remarks have been popping up lately. From Charlie Sheen text messages to the Galliano ordeal.

This needs to stop. When we talk about equality around here, we don't just mean for the LGBT community. We mean it for EVERYONE. Race, creed, sexual orientation, you name it.

Nobody should be discriminated!

Jewish People Not Responsible for Jesus' Death, Says Pope In New Book

Wow. Finally looks like something's come up that'll stir up more conversation than Charlie Sheen's every move!

In excerpts from his upcoming book Jesus of Nazareth-Part II, Pope Benedict XVI "explains biblically and theologically why there is no basis in Scripture for the argument that the Jewish people as a whole were responsible for Jesus' death."

Here's what American Gathering of Holocaust Survivors and their Descendants' Elan Steinberg had to say about it:

"Holocaust survivors know only too well how the centuries-long charge of 'Christ killer' against the Jews created a poisonous climate of hate that was the foundation of anti-Semitic persecution whose ultimate expression was realized in the Holocaust."

And here's what Anti-Defamation League national director Abraham H. Foxman had to say about it:

"[That Benedict is a theologian makes] this statement from the Holy See that much more significant for now and for future generations."

Charlie Sheen Vs. The Anti-Defamation League

charlie sheen vs anti defamation league

We're not sure if this is the best way to prove to the world that you're not anti-Semitic, Charlie.

Last week, Charlie Sheen was being accused of anti-Semitism, after referring to Two and a Half Men's Chuck Lorre by his Hebrew name, Chaim Levine.

Now, Charlie is firing back at the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), and he's had lawyer Marty Singer send a letter to them, demanding that THEY apologize to HIM. Sheen claims he was simply trying to "address the man rather than his television persona."

Not only is Sheen demanding an apology from the Jewish organization, but in the legal letter, he's trying to get the ADL to turn against Chuck Lorre himself!

In the letter, Singer says that Chuck Lorre referred to himself as "Chaim" in a February vanity card, in which Lorre wrote about "a lifetime of distancing himself from Judaism."

…And we've reached a whole new level of ugly/crazy.

Charlie Sheen Swears He Isn't An Anti-Semite

So stop calling, Mel Gibson. He doesn't want to hang out with you. (We kid, we kid.)

You're going to be hearing from Charlie Sheen A LOT in the coming days. Following the official announcemet that his hit CBS show was canned for the rest of the reason and the network's vow that they'll never work for him again, Charlie released a steamed statement directed towards the show's creator, Chuck Lorre.

In his rant response, he referred to Chuck as "Chaim Levine," the Hebrew translation of his birth name. Many people have been insulted by this, accusing Charlie of being denigrate towards the Jews. But Charlie claims he is nothing of the sort. He contacted sources to clarify what he was trying to do by changing Chuck's name and explained:

"I was referring to Chuck by his real name, because I wanted to address the man, not the bulls**t TV persona…So you're telling me, anytime someone calls me Carlos Estevez, I can claim they are anti-Latino?"

First of all, Chuck's birth name is Charles Levine. So… you got the name wrong. Congrats.

Second of call, Carlos, you need to put a lock on those lips of yours before you get yourself into even more trouble, though we're not sure if that is even possible.

And lastly…what happened to you going to rehab??? When is that going to happen???

Winona Vs. Mel

winona ryder talks mel gibson

Winona Ryder does NOT have positive things to say about Mel Gibson.

During an interview in the latest issue of GQ, she spoke about an uncomfortable run-in she had with the man.

Here's what she had to say about her less-than-wonderful Mel experience:

"I remember, like, fifteen years ago, I was at one of those big Hollywood parties. And he was really drunk. I was with my friend, who's gay. He made a really horrible gay joke. And somehow it came up that I was Jewish. He said something about 'oven dodgers,' but I didn't get it.

I'd never heard that before. It was just this weird, weird moment. I was like, 'He's anti-Semitic and he's homophobic.' No one believed me!"

We cannot express enough how awful this is! And given Mel's track record, we're definitely inclined to believe Winona's story.

We are NOT impressed, Mel. NOT. AT. ALL.

Do U believe Winona's story? If so, what do U think of Mel's comments?
