So sad to see Chezza gone, but we're optimistic this group will do just fine without her!

What do U think?? Will U be tuning in for the September 21st premiere?

Has America Already Turned On Chezza?!

Relax! Definitely not!

A few boo's never hurt anyone - it comes with the territory when you're an X Factor judge!

During day two of the reality competition, producers apparently told judges L.A. Reid, Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, and Cheryl Cole to not hold back, and the latter definitely took it into consideration, apparently asking one potential if she were "singing in a different language" and telling another that she "felt like you have been studying some hip-hop videos - it didn't seem real to me."

This didn't go over too well with some audience members, who responded to her criticism with boos! However, people really lost it when she said no to a 13 year contestant, even though she put a positive spin on it:

"You are 13 so you have plenty of time to practice. I am sure you will be great when you come back for X Factor in a couple of years. But I’m going to say no."

However, fear not, Chezza fans, because as a source close to production explained:

"Cheryl was noticeably tougher - but stood up to all the flak brilliantly especially as it was a much harsher crowd than the UK version. She’s got a job to do and she coped admirably. The booing wasn’t personal at her – all the panel got a rough ride. It’s part and parcel of her job to make difficult decisions that not everyone agrees with."

Exactly! You can't please everyone, and we give her a lot of credit to come in as the least recognizable judge (at least here) and be so composed and unwavering under all the audience pressure!

Keep up the good work, gurl! America is going to love you!

Chezza And America Get Off To A Good Start!

Just as we thought she would!

Cheryl Cole has officially started her gig as a judge on the American version of The X Factor alongside Simon Cowell, L.A. Reid, and Paula Abdul, and according to sources on the set of her first day of auditions, she was an absolute hit with fellow judges, contestants, and spectators alike - despite her Newcastle accent!

The Girls Aloud singer was reportedly greeted by a crowd of 3,000 cheering and chanting "We Love Cheryl!" as she arrived at the Galen Center, and later, was introduced to contestants by judge Paula Abdul with the following words:

“She’s a superstar in her own right, welcome Cheryl Cole.”

Cheryl then introduced herself by saying:

“I’m thrilled to be here. You might have to bear with me and the accent just a bit… I hope you are all looking forward to getting to know me. It might take you a second to understand my accent but we’ll get there. And just remember, it’s really hard for the contestants coming on here, sometimes – so be kind.”

So lovely!

We're so glad to see her get off to such a positive start!

Keep up the good work, gurl!

We're looking forward to watching you KILL IT on this show!

Cheryl Cole THIS Close To Securing Spot On X Factor, According to Variety!

Wow! It sounds like this could actually be happening! And SOON!

Despite there being no clear word for quite some time on if Cheryl Cole would actually land a seat on the judges table for the American version of X Factor, sources close to the reality competition are now claiming that she's THIS close to securing the position, and is having her contract written up as we speak, with her announcement as third judge - alongside Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid - coming soon!

Amazing! Let's just hope that there are no much hiccups, and this actually goes through! So the fourth selection can follow!

We don't care who the judges are at this point, we just want them announced!

And, as always, PEREZ is always available! Just saying! Ha!

Never Mind! L.A. Reid Denies Confirming Chezza Is Coming To America

Filed under: TV NewsSimon CowellCherylX Factor

Dreams dashed! Whomp, whomp.

Yesterday, we were happy to report that L.A. Reid, the only person confirmed to be on the judges panel for the American version of X Factor, had let it slip that Cheryl Cole would be joining him on the show.

Alas, the report was false, we're sorry to say, as Reid has come forward this morning to insist he was misquote and that Simon Cowell is still hard at work trying to find the final two judges. He explained:

“I don’t know where that actually came from, but I know the judging roles have been quite a process for Simon…I support any decisions that he makes for the next two judges.”

Great. Would you support his decision if he picked….

Her Minajesty, Too?! Nicki Being Considered For Judging Position On X Factor!

Wow! We could get behind this!

While Former Island Def Jam Music Group chairman L.A. Reid is the only confirmed judge so far for the upcoming US edition of Simon Cowell's X Factor, sources close to production have revealed that none other than Miz Nicki Minaj herself is in negotiations to join the panel!

The insider explains:

"Simon thinks Nicki is fantastic. She's sassy, she looks great and she has bags of personality. Nicki has a large following and she fits well with the ethos of the show, which plans to usher in a new generation of musical talent. 'X Factor' is aiming for a younger audience. Those aged 12 and over can audition, and [the English version has] launched successful artists from other genres of music than pop. This isn't a done deal yet, but Nicki would be great for the show. She fits the ideal that 'X Factor' will be exciting, vibrant and different. And the show would also be great for her career."

Definitely! Our only concern is that she is still a relatively new artist…but we think with the success of her debut album, Pink Friday, and her amazing personality, she should have NO problem fitting right in!

But who knows? We're still hearing that Nicole Scherzinger, Chezza, and Tommy Mottola are still in the running - not to mention Little J and Enrique as potential hosts - so we doubt we'll have anything else confirmed until the official announcement is made!

And let's hope that it's SOON! We're tired of being left in the dark!

What do U think?? Who should comprise the judges panel on the US X Factor??

Def Jams CEO On His Way Out?

Sneaky sneaky!!

Antonio "L.A." Reid, the CEO of Island Def Jams, bailed on appearance to speak at the Billboard 2010 Music & Money Symposium, claiming his son was in the hospital and need surgery!!

However, sources are now claiming this 'medical emergency' may have been bull, and that because of the disappointing sales from Rihanna and Mariah Carey's latest albums, L.A. is feeling the pressure and may be on his way out!

A source said:

"There was speculation among other music executives that this was not entirely the truth. Reid didn't want to answer questions about his future with Island Def Jam. The move left organizers panicked with no speaker with just hours to go. Vevo CEO Rio Caraeff agreed to stand in."

However, Reid is insisting this is not the case, and a friend says:

"L.A. had to cancel because he was called away on family business, not because his son was ill. That was just a story that went around. He isn't afraid to answer questions about his future with the label. He is about to sign J.Lo [Jennifer Lopez] and isn't going anywhere."

So either way it seems that the ill son story was false, which we think is a horrible rumor to perpetuate!! Whoever started it - shame on you!!

What do U think?? Is L.A. Reid trying to bow out after his last few flops??
