Fired Univision Star Rodner Figueroa Apologizes To Michelle Obama For Racist Remarks… But Is It Enough?

Filed under: Icky Icky PooTV NewsMichelle Obama

After making racist remarks about the First Lady, one fired television personality is owning up to his awful comments… kind of.

[ Related: Kathy Griffin Exits Fashion Police ]

That's right, ex-Univision star Rodner Figueroa was on the program El Gordo y La Flaca when he said that Michelle Obama looked like a "cast member of Planet of the Apes."

Just disgusting. SRSLY! What century are we living in?!

However, Rodney has since released an apology in wich he claims that he's not a racist. Here's an excerpt of his statement that was personally addressed to Michelle:

I want to clarify that I am not racist in any way, my comment was not directed towards you, but towards the characterization of the artist, who left much to be desired. The entire video clip in context proves it.

I feel embarrassed, I apologize, because there is no excuse for a professional like me to make these type of comments that can be interpreted as offensive and racist in such volatile times in our country. I take responsibility for this lack of judgment on my part, but I cannot accept being called a racist by anyone and be dismissed as such, and publicly humiliated by Univision after 17 years in this business.

Boy, the English language is WAY too confusing.

Just ask Jaime King.

On Wednesday, the Hart Of Dixie actress took offense to a woman named "Jessica" and her comment on the 35-year-old's previous (now deleted) Instagram post.

The image captured a fridge full of Fiji Water, in which Jaime seemed to be promoting both the brand and the importance of pregnant women staying hydrated.

"Jessica" was extremely bothered that the former model was conveniently ignoring the fact that the company was exploiting the actual people of Fiji for profit.

Wait, there was MORE?!

Giuliana Rancic has recently come under fire for making racist remarks about Zendaya's hair. Although she has since apologized, and Zendaya accepted said apology, there might be even more reasons for G to say she's sorry!

In a reportedly unedited video clip of the Fashion Police segment, Giuliana can be seen further criticizing Zendaya's hair by saying that her 'do looks "really heavy – it overwhelms her, and it's just too boho."

After making the peace sign symbol, Giuliana went on to eventually make her now infamous "patchouli," and "weed" comments:

Ahhhh! Kanye West apologized for something? This has got to be some sort of first.

[ Related: Kanye West Breaks Down In New Interview! ]

Kanye took to Twitter to publicly apologize to Beck and Bruno Mars, after Yeezy made comments like, "Beck needs to respect artistry," and made it clear that he wanted Beck to give his Grammy award to Beyoncé after she lost out Album of the Year to him.

Well, looks like Kanye has done some thinking about Beck's artistry since then.

As for Bruno, he mentioned that despite "hating on him," he really respects his artistry.

We like this newer sign of Kanye. It's like he's matured.

Here are his remorseful tweets below:
