Thank goodness! Because we were feelin' pret-ty sorry for the future generations of kids who (we thought) had to wander through reading without Levar Burton and his magical Rainbow!

Yes, folks! It is official! Reading Rainbow is coming to an iPad near you!!

Needless to say, Levar is super stocked about the whole thing, saying:

Yet another good reason to focus more resources into education!

Students have developed a brilliant new app that lets anyone being bullied report the incidents for school administrators to review.

They can do this on their computers or their smart phones, which takes the tools being used to cause such stress and turns them into something positive again.

An Angry Birds theme park is coming to an amusement park near you - if you live in China, that is!

The company behind the 2nd most popular iPhone app of all time has opened its offices in Shanghai and has drawn up plans for activity parks and stores across its biggest market - China.

A medical team has created an app that can actually screen for mental illness!

You just prick your finger and place a drop of blood on your screen.

JK! LOLz!

The app, called WhatsMyM3 can tell if you're at an increased risk for depression, anxiety disorder, bipolar disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder.

The $2.99 app is meant to help adults "monitor their own symptoms and have a view of what's going on" when it comes to mood and anxiety levels.

It's basically just a survey you can take to assess your current mood and give you a readout about your risk of a mental disorder.

Apparently 1 in 5 adults has a mental illness but only about 60% of them get treatments.

A psychiatrist who's a fan of the app said:

"It helps give you a normative sense of what's in bounds and out of bounds [for mental health.] That can be helpful for anybody who's curious about or worried about how they're doing."
