Okay, so they haven't announced Britney as a performer yet. Don't worry…she'll be there!

The first performers announced for the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards include Lady GaGa, Katy Perry, Arcade Fire, Cee Lo Green, Eminem, and Miranda Lambert!

This will be Arcade Fire and Miranda Lambert's first Grammy performances.

Should be an AWESOME night filled with teenage dreams, dancing in the dark, and Cee Lo Green singing F*@! Forget You AND Brit Brit!!!!

…Keep an ear out for the Britney announcement. And yes, if we're wrong, U can hold it against us. LOLs.

ScarJo And Anne To Host SNL!

scarjo and anne hathaway to host saturday night live

We are so pumped for the next two Saturday Night Live hosts AND for their musical guests!

On November 13, Scarlett Johansson will host, with musical guest Arcade Fire!

The week after that, Anne Hathaway will be hosting with musical guest Florence + The Machine!

We're SO excited to see Florence on SNL!!!

Looks like ScarJo will be promoting The Avengers, which she's currently filming with other superhero actors Chris Evans, Samuel L. Jackson, and several others.

Anne Hathaway will promote her upcoming dark comedy Love And Other Drugs, co-starring Jake Gyllenhaal.

This marks Arcade Fire's second appearance on the show, and will mark Florence's SNL debut!

So awesome to see our faves hosting Saturday Night Live!

Will U tune in for ScarJo, Anne, Arcade Fire, and Florence?

Battle Of The Hipsters! Kings Of Leon Slams Arcade Fire!

kings-of-leon-drummer-nathan-followill-slams-arcade-fire

We're surprised that he had the gall to say this.

Kings of Leon drummer Nathan Followill recently took a cheap dig at the AMAZING band Arcade Fire in an interview when he essentially called them famewhores!

He said:

“Now it's cool to have 14 people in your band doing everything but contributing musically, running around with a helmet on your head, hitting it with a drumstick. You gotta look at what you're in this for: the love of music? The fame? You can have all that if you're smart and play your cards right and don't become a dick."

Apparently, he's referencing something that bandmember Richard Parry has done in various performances.

We think that this is a pretty unjustified blow, especially considering that Arcade Fire has consistently put out three unbelievable albums and seem completely committed to their music as well as their listeners. Kings of Leon, on the other hand, have disrespected their fans by complaining about their mainstream popularity while simultaneously displaying diva behavior during gigs.

Inneresting, no?

Crazy!

Eminem's Recovery is moving back to the #1 spot in its eighth week on the charts!

Arcade Fire's new album The Suburbs had the #1 spot this week, but it appears Em is taking over once again.

Congrats!

Arcade Fire And Spike Jonze Go Sci-Fi

Lately, The Arcade Fire are ablaze!

Their new album, The Suburbs, was released today, they’ve got a live Youtube concert on Thursday, and now they’re teaming up with Spike Jonze to make a sci-fi short film!

Here’s what Arcade Fire’s Win Butler had to say about the collaboration:

"Basically, we played Spike some music from the album and the first images that came to his mind had the same feeling as this idea for a science fiction film I had when I was younger. My brother and I and Spike wrote it together, which was really fun — it was like total amateur hour.”

And more from Butler:

"We shot it in Austin and a lot of kids are in the film, and it was great just hanging out with these 15-year-olds for a week and writing down all the funny things they said. It was cool to revert to being a 15-year-old for a little while."

We couldn’t get Arcade Fire’s song Wake Up out of our heads after all those Where the Wild Things Are trailers earlier this year. Should be interesting to see if this project has a similar impact.
