This is three parts strange, and seven parts very very sad!
When an Arizona judge passed down a guilty verdict for Michael Marin yesterday, the newly minted arsonist killed himself right there in the courtroom!!
As soon as the verdict was read, Mike took something out of his bag, ingested it, and quickly collapsed.
Did he pop a poison pill? Were bath salts involved?

Mike was caught climbing out of his flaming house in scuba gear and it's believed he tried to burn his mansion to the ground to collect insurance money!!
What a terrible ending, to an oddly disturbing tale.

Hermes Birkin bags are on FIYAH, and not because they're hot must-haves.
It wasn't enough that photographer Tyler Shields set a $100,000 Birkin on fire while girlfriend Francesca Eastwood watched, but now the luxury brand's torching the extremely expensive bags themselves!
So why are the bags being smoked?
Mulberry's Emma Hill revealed:
"A friend who was working at Hermes said that if there was even the most minor imperfection on a bag they would take it out the back and burn it — no compromise."
That's just terrible!
We think Hermes should just donate the imperfect bags so we can all have a little piece of fashion heaven, even if they are a bit damaged!

We're SO glad this is all over with!
Yesterday, a "person of interest" who was believed to be responsible for 53 arson fires in L.A. and $2 million worth of damage was detained.
Now, we've learned that the "person of interest" is in fact the person of guilt, and he's been identified as a 24-year-old man from Germany named Harry Burkhart.
He was booked in jail yesterday afternoon, and we're hearing that he's being held without bail.

To recap - earlier this morning, a "person of interest" who may be responsible for the L.A. arson fires was detained.
As we mentioned before, we had heard that the man was driving a blue minivan and reportedly had Canadian license plates.
Then, detectives announced that they found "materials that could have been used to set fires inside the minivan" of the person of interest. We also heard more evidence that made the man sound pretty damn guilty.
Now, we've learned that the suspect is expected to be booked on arson charges this afternoon AND given the fact that the fires have stopped, we're thinking he's definitely the culprit.

Wow. Well there's certainly a first time everything then!
Randall Lee Church spent 26 years in a Texas prison for the murder of another man when he was 18, but apparently, when he was released in April of 2011, the real world wasn't to his liking, so he decided that the only way to get back behind bars was to commit another crime - and burned a house a down!
Only 96 days after being released, re-acclimating to the modern world was just too difficult for him, so he set an abandoned house on fire, pled guilty to arson, and willingly went back into custody!
