Artie Lange is probably thanking his lucky stars right now!
As you know, the 49-year-old was arrested for possession of cocaine, heroin, and drug paraphernalia in Hoboken, New Jersey last month.
Now, TMZ is reporting the comedian's drug possession charges have been dropped, and he will instead be charged with three counts of "disorderly persons."
This is technically still a drug charge, but it's way less serious than the original situation, and is the equivalent of misdemeanors. To put it into perspective, he's facing just a handful of months behind bars instead of five years, if convicted.
It's unclear why exactly the charges were downgraded, but we're sure the troubled celeb isn't questioning it!
