The case still isn't closed, but sadly, it appears as if Natalee Holloway is dead after being missing for over 6 years.
Judge Alan King legally declared the teenager, who went missing during a high school graduation trip to Aruba in 2005, to be deceased on Thursday.
Dave Holloway, Natalee's father, made the request back in September in order to settle her estate and free up funds set aside for her education. Beth Holloway opposed the request, but Thursday was the deadline the judge had set for evidence to be presented that shows Natalee did not die on that fateful trip.
Unfortunately,

It really sounds like they may have found the man responsible for her disappearance.
To recap, earlier this month, we were dismayed to learn that six years after Natalee Holloway's disappearance in Aruba, 35-year-old Maryland woman Robyn Gardner was reported missing from the same resort town.

A truly sad story.
Yesterday, we were dismayed to learn that six years after Natalee Holloway's disappearance in Aruba, 35-year-old Maryland woman Robyn Gardner was reported missing from the same resort town.
The man she was on the island with, Gary Giordano, is currently under investigation and his story seems suspect.
Now, Robyn's boyfriend Richard Forester has opened up about her disappearance.
For starters,

Joran van der Sloot has told investigators in Peru that he knows the location of Natalee Holloway's body, but he will only reveal information to the Arubian police.
Peter Blanken, the public prosecutor in Aruba, says he is skeptical about van der Sloot's information. He explains:
"He told us several times his story about his last contact with Natalee Holloway. I don't know now if he speaks the truth. We will travel to Peru to interrogate van der Sloot … in due course."
We hope the authorities get the information they need so her family can finally have some peace.
So sad.

The longtime suspect in the murder of Natalee Holloway in Aruba, Joran van der Sloot, confessed to killing a Peruvian woman in his hotel room last week.
Van der Sloot admitted under police questioning on Monday that he killed 21-year-old Stephany Flores on May 30th. He was in a rage after learning that she looked up information about him on his personal laptop.
No further details were given.
It's about time he gets put away. So sad.
