Much like getting your fingerprints taken and saved on file, if you are arrested for a felony your DNA will be saved too.
The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled in a 2-1 decision that a 2004 California law requiring officials to collect DNA samples of criminals is constitutional because it is not an unreasonable search.
Since DNA evidence can be used to solve crimes, Judge Milan Smith wrote:
Uh oh, this can't be good.
The California Attorney General's Office of Charitable Trust is investigating the Farrah Fawcett Foundation for potential mismanagement of funds, diversion of assets, and fraud!
The foundation formed in 2009 after Farrah Fawcett lost her long battle with cancer. Its mission is to provide funding for alternative methods of cancer research, prevention, and awareness.
Both the Farrah Fawcett Foundation and the Farrah Fawcett Living Trust, which funds the foundation, had been ordered at some point during the summer to turn over their financial records and estate planning documents within 60 days.
Richard B. Francis, the trustee of the estate and chairman of the foundation, as well as the foundation's president, Alana Stewart, are calling the investigation outrageous, but are being fully cooperative.
It's so sad to see hear of possible fraud in an organization meant to honor the late actress and provide funds to fight the disease that took her life!
We're crossing our fingers that this is just a misunderstanding!

Oh boy. This is going to get a whole lot uglier.
After reports circulated that Sacramento Hyatt Regency security officer William Taylor used to witness former Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger using CHP officers and vehicles to bring multiple 'scantily-clad' women in and out of his suite at the hotel, the California Attorney General will be conducting a preliminary evaluation, or an "inquiry" into his behavior during that time, so they can determine how much money he was misusing to cover up his affairs!
As Taylor has explained:
“It makes me very angry just to think of what was going on at that time. On three differed occasions after the governor arrived alone at the Hyatt Regency, CHP Dignitary Protection Services arrived in their official vehicles, black Ford Crown Victoria sedans - about one to two hours later with one or two young females. They'd hurriedly escort the women through the service entrance on the second floor parking garage to the elevator that went to the governor's private wing… the women would usually stay for two to four hours and either leave through the hotel's main entrance or be driven away by the CHP in the same official vehicles."
Unbelievable. This guy really has a lot of nerve, given the current deficit in this state!
Actions have consequences, and we think Arnold is going to be learning this lesson the hardest way possible!
Such a deplorable, awful shame.

Excellent! That man had NO business being in the position that he was!
Andrew Shirvell, the Michigan assistant state attorney general who recently came under fire for relentlessly harassing University of Michigan student body president Chris Armstrong because of his sexual preference, was let go this afternoon for not only his behavior, but for lying to investigators during his disciplinary hearing!
Attorney General Mike Cox explained in a statement that Shirvell was fired for "conduct unbecoming a state employee, especially that of an assistant attorney general," and continued:
"To be clear, I refuse to fire anyone for exercising their First Amendment rights, regardless of how popular or unpopular their positions might be. However, Mr. Shirvell repeatedly violated office policies, engaged in borderline stalking behavior, and inappropriately used state resources, our investigation showed. The cumulative effects of his use of state resources, harassing conduct that is not protected by the First Amendment, and his lies during the disciplinary conference all demonstrate adequate evidence of conduct unbecoming a state employee. Ultimately, Mr. Shirvell's conduct has brought his termination from state service."
According to the investigation, Shirvell:
- Showed up at Armstrong's home three separate times, including once at 1:30 a.m. "That incident is especially telling because it clearly was about harassing Mr. Armstrong, not engaging in free speech," the statement said.
- "Engaged in behavior that, while not perhaps sufficient to charge criminal stalking, was harassing, uninvited and showed a pattern that was in the everyday sense, stalking."
- Harassed Armstrong's friends as they were socializing in Ann Arbor.
- Called Speaker Nancy Pelosi's office, Armstrong's employer, in an attempt to "slander Armstrong and ultimately attempting to cause Pelosi to fire Armstrong.
- Attempted to "out" Armstrong's friends as homosexual — several of whom aren't gay.
This man doesn't just need to be fired - he needs to be put away somewhere!
However, we're happy that justice was served and hopefully now Shirvell will leave that poor kid alone! So unfair!
Good riddance, we say!

What the FUCK is this moron's problem?
Check out this PSYCHOTIC clip from Anderson Cooper 360, featuring Andrew Shirvell, an assistant attorney general for the state of Michigan who has unleashed a full-blown internet attack on University of Michigan student assembly president and openly homosexual Chris Armstrong!
This nut case launched a blog last April under the moniker Concerned Michigan Alumnus, which he uses as a platform to accuse the school's head of government of engaging in "flagrant sexual promiscuity," hosting orgies in his dorm room, and trying to make incoming freshmen "join the homosexual 'lifestyle.'" He also draws swastikas over gay pride flags over pictures of Armstrong's face, and has apparently stalked this kid outside of his home!
Watch (above) to see his argue with Cooper as to why he believes his actions to be acceptable behavior!
This is one scary, self-loathing closet case if we've ever seen one!
He should be ASHAMED of himself for doing what he's doing to a COLLEGE STUDENT involved in STUDENT GOVERNMENT!

Chief U.S. District Judge Vaughn R. Walker rejected a request to delay his decision regarding Proposition 8 because he doesn't think backers will be able to appeal it as they won't be affected by it or be responsible for putting it into action!
And it would also be denying gay couples their constitutional right to marry each day!
He says of the gay marriage ban's backers:
"[They] point to harm resulting from a 'cloud of uncertainty' surrounding the validity of marriages performed after judgment is entered but before proponents' appeal is resolved. Proponents have not, however, argued that any of them seek to wed a same-sex spouse."
So it looks like the ban's backers can only appeal Judge Walker's decision if Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger or Attorney General Jerry Brown are on board as well.
But both of them have already refused to defend Prop 8 in court and said they didn't see any valid reason why gay couples couldn't marry now.
Equality for all!
