You know what they say, the family that braves the cold together, sticks together! Or something like that.
Kelly Ripa and her hubby Mark Consuelos were spotted out and about in SoHo grabbing lunch with two of their kiddies Lola and Joaquin at Aurora restaurant!
The only problem is, it was FREEZING outside!!
The Ripa bunch bundled up in extra layers to combat the frigid conditions, however, it didn't really seem to help as none of them even came close to cracking a smile on the walk over!
Hopefully filling their tummies with some yummy Italian food helped warm them up a bit!

This certainly looks to be a sad ending to a very sad story.
James Holmes will most likely face the death penalty after his shooting spree at an Aurora, Colorado movie theater murders late last July left several dead and many others injured.
Last week, his legal team entered a "guilty" plea in hopes of spending life in prison with no parole as an alternative, but after lawyers consulted the families of the victims, the deal was rejected.
As the hearing kicked off earlier this morning, Arapahoe County District Attorney George Brauchler said he would not be accepting

But really… are you shocked?
After (allegedly) killing 12 and injuring almost 60 during Aurora's Dark Knight Massacre this past summer, James Holmes has been thrown in a whirlwind of court proceedings.
But this week, James got a NASTY earful from the father of victim Rebecca Wingo.
During the proceedings on Friday, Steve Hernandez — suffering from the sorrow and anger of his daughter's death — shouted:

Why did this happen!?
The Colorado town hasn't even had a year to heal from the horrific Dark Knight Massacre when a hostage situation presented itself inside an Aurora townhouse.
Around 3am on Saturday morning, gunshots were heard inside the townhome, resulting in a SWAT team arriving on the scene. With 40 officers reportedly outside, the gunman refused to surrender to the police.
Police believed there were at least three or four others inside that couldn't leave on their own free will, and — after HOURS of suspense — around 8:15am, the suspect shot

On May 5, 2014, all seven lawsuits filed against Cinemark for their alleged lack of proper security will go before U.S. District Judge R. Brook Jackson.
Aurora Century 16 was the site of James Holmes' brutal shooting spree during its infamous midnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises.
Twelve died after James Holmes entered the theater from a back emergency-exit door, and 58 were left wounded.
The massacre, which shocked the nation and brought the issue of gun-control back to the water-cooler, angered many and arguably could have been prevented had proper security been in place, claims the lawsuits.
We can only hope for peace for the families and friends of the victims, and the fortunate ones who did make it out alive that night. Hopefully the judge will help see to it.

There are plenty of opportunities between the time an awful joke pops into your head and when you send it, to, well, not send it. Like when you take out your phone, when you open twitter, when you word it all out, when you read it over and then hit send, for instance.
The Denver Broncos' Tony Carter had all those opportunities but decided to ignore them, when he tweeted:
