Cinemark Theaters Is Going After The Aurora Shooting Victims For $700,000 — Here's Why

no title

You've gotta be kidding us.

As we're sure you know, back in 2012, 24 people lost their lives when James Holmes shot up a theater in Aurora, Colorado during a showing of The Dark Knight Rises.

While Holmes' case has pretty much been wrapped up as he was sentenced to life in prison, attorneys for the theater chain Cinemark, where the tragedy occurred, are now shifting gears and going after the victims who tried to sue the theater — and they want them to pay for the chain's legal fees!

After the shooting took place, the families of the victims filed a lawsuit against the theater chain, saying

james holmes enters guilty plea for aurora colorado shootings

The shooter behind the movie theater massacre in Aurora, Colorado is looking to avoid the death penalty by changing his plea to "guilty" for the murder of 12 people.

Last time he was on trial, James Holmes and his team failed to enter a plea by their deadline, and the judge was forced to enter a "not guilty" plea by default.

Madonna's Gun-Stuffed Performance Causes Controversy In Colorado!

Oh Madge, honeymuffin, we love you…

But come on. Have a tid bit of sensitivity!

As part of Madonna's GLORIOUS MDNA show, the musical Queen comes out on stage with many a gun and pretends to shoot various people, including her 'lover'.

So, you would think that for her Thursday show in Denver, Colorado — the state where 13 people were slaughtered by a crazed gunman this summer — Madge would have the sense to axe the number, or at least replace it with something more appropriate to her audience.

But nay, the queen of controversy did NOT change her act, and pissed off many a Madge-fan because of her actions!

Ryan Gosling Re-Films Scenes For Gangster Squad In Wake Of Aurora Tragedy

Filed under: Film FlickersRyan GoslingSad Sad

We wish none of this were necessary!

As much as we love being treated to additional glimpses of Ryan Gosling looking dapper his seksy '30s wardrobe for Gangster Squad, we sincerely wish all of this additional filming could have been avoided!

In the wake of the horrifying and senseless murders in Aurora, Colorado, filmmakers thought it prudent to re-film certain violent scenes and push the movie's release date back to 2013.

It's unclear how many scenes were rewritten and reshot but we can report for certain that Ryan still looks darn good in his old school hat!

Ch-ch-check out more pictures of Ryan on set walking around and driving a car (below)!

Christian Bale Visits Victims In Aurora, CO

It seems Christian Bale donned an imaginary bat-cape Tuesday when he flew to Aurora, CO at the request of the families of those brutalized by Dark Knight Rises mass-murderer James Holmes.

Bale visited victims at the Medical Center of Aurora South, and is apparently acting on his own behalf and NOT as a representative for Warner Bros.

One of the greatest Dark Knights in the comic's on-screen history previously released a statement of condolence, in which he expressed his horror concerning Holmes' depraved crime.

So many props to you Christian!

There are many types of heros in the world, and to us, someone who responds to others at a time of great hardship totally fits the definition.

CafePress Offers Aurora Shooting Memorial Thong As Tribute

Filed under: Icky Icky PooFashion SmashionR.I.P.Sad Sad

Why, why and why?!?

Last week's Dark Knight Rises Aurora, Colorado movie massacre has had us in awe, but ever since the shooting occurred, some retailers have been taking some not-so-practical approaches to the terrible tragedy.

First, an online store, Celeb Boutique used the massacre to hawk a dress, and then, CafePress was offering a thong as a form a respect.

WTF is going on?!?

The undergarment was available for $12.50 with a caption that read:
