T-Pain suing auto-tune? That's like Daniel Radcliffe suing Harry Potter!

As we all know, T-Pain and auto-tune have practically been interchangeable words for quite some time now…but that time is up!

Rolling Stone Writer Live Tweets While Listening To Femme Fatale!

Oh boy! This is pretty HIGHlarious - and also pretty insightful!

Rolling Stone writer Will Hermes sat down yesterday to review Britney Spears' new album, Femme Fatale, after just one listen, but was kind enough to share his immediate thoughts and opinions during the session LIVE via Twitter!

Here's what followed:

Listening to new Britney LP at an undisclosed location. Having an MDMA flashback. #FrenchFilterHouseHasTakenOverTheWorld

Credits for "How I Roll" lists 4 names for "vocal production." #NewBritney #AutoTuneIsAGenre

Dr. Luke + Max Martin dropping a dubstep break on "Seal It With A Kiss." I love it when the avant-garde seeps into the mainstream. #IThink

These listening sessions would be better if conducted in a dark room with a disco ball and a qt of Patron. #NewBritney

Cher understood that vocal processing = eternal youth. #NewBritney

Ai yai yai - dunno what made the Britney massive think I was hating earlier. Not true. Untwist yr panties. #OKMaybeALittle #NewBritney

Can't review properly on just one listen - unfair.

BUT I will say it's got some of the most spectacular Luke & Max productions I've heard. #NewBritney

And I'm curious what Britney fans will think of the vocal processing, which I think is often fking brilliant but EXTREME #CyborgDiva

I hear you. "Criminal" sounds almost like she's addressing herself.

Lyric that made me laugh out loud, approvingly: "(Drop Dead) Beautiful" #AllPurposeAnthems #Britney

Lyric that made me laugh out louder "Big Fat Bass" #WithItOrAtIt #NotSure #Britney

Fave song on first pass is "How I Roll" #Britney

Not talking vocal effects as pitch correction or T-Pain/Kanye horny robot coos, but as kaleidoscopic phoneme collage. #Britney

w/bonus tracks, I counted 35 co-songwriters on new Britney record. (She isn't one of them.) #SongwriterSavingsAccountsForKidsCollegeTuition

Here's a teaser bite of "How I Roll" Dr. Luke posted. This is what I'm talking about: http://bit.ly/dTB27d #GirlInTheMachine #Britney

Wowza!

Although we think that most of his jabs at our gurl were done playfully, and he DOES seem to be on board of with the crazy vocal processing, we're not sure we are!

It definitely sounds as though they went overboard with it!

Hopefully it will work with whatever aesthetic they're ultimately going for, but we're not sure we're feeling it!

Thoughts??

And the Charlie Sheen remixes have begun!

Check out the video (above) of Charlie and GaGa getting auto-tuned and remixed together.

Very silly, but also very amusing!

Wonder who Sheen will get mashed up with next…

The Oscars Gets Auto-Tuned!

Because last night was supposed to the rising of a "funner", "hipper", "cooler" Academy Awards, the producers put together this little ditty to snag the attention of the younger demographic.

It was a HIGHlight of the night for us, but that really isn't saying that much!

Check out this "musical" tribute to some of the biggest box-office hits this year! (above)

Gosh, auto-tune just makes everything better doesn't it?!

American Idol Producers Are Anti-Auto-Tune

Good for you, American Idol! Stand up for yourself!

After all of the controversy surrounding auto-tuning of contestants’ voices on The X Factor, the folks at American Idol have chosen to make sure the world knows that they are NOT cool with that:

“We have never, nor would we ever, use Auto-Tuning during the `American Idol' competition.”

In response to allegations against them, The X Factor producers have admitted that pitch-correction methods were used during the post-production process for SOME performances, but now they’ve stated that they won’t use electronic pitch-correction software in the future.

Sureeeee….we’ve heard that one before!

Thank you, American Idol, for holding yourselves to higher standards.

Will U still watch The X Factor when it comes to Fox in 2011, despite the auto-tune controversy?

Uh, oh!

Reports claim that Susan Boyle's famous audition for Britain's Got Talent was digitally enhanced with Auto-Tune according to an anonymous source from the production team!

First the X Factor scandal and now this?!

Could Simon Cowell's credibility be shot?

What do U think?

Another X Factor Scandal!!!

The season is only one episode in and already it has MAJOR drama!!!!

The heels of the autotune controversy, X Factor bosses are debating losing one of their star contestants after they've learned that she already has a recording contract in the US. Apparently, contestant Katie Waissel never told producers about her two-record deal on a jazz label state side.

We think that's grounds for the axe! Fair is fair!

While fans wait to see Katie's fate, news came straight from Simon Cowell that "performance-enhancing software" (aka autotune) will now be banned from all edited pre-recorded auditions. Obviously, Simon is trying to preserve the show's reputation so that it has a more seamless transition in 2011 to the USA.

And we agree! Say no to autotune! These people are singing for their futures! Let their talent stand on its own!
