Ava opted for a long-sleeved, beaded Ashi Studio dress, which hardly needed any accessories except for her metallic clutch and drop earrings.

Ava DuVernay's New TV Show Queen Sugar Will ONLY Employ Female Directors!

Ava DuVernay is not shy when it comes to her sharing opinions on Hollywood and how they treat both people of color and women.

In fact, as a black female director, the Golden Globe-nominee has a personal stake in the matter, which makes her latest news all that more exciting!

While interviewing with Reelblack at the Sundance Film Festival on Wednesday, Ava disclosed that in an effort to promote her peers, her upcoming OWN drama Queen Sugar will feature an all-female directorial team!

Rutina Wesley, Dawn-Lyen Gardner, Kofi Siriboe, and Omar J. Dorsey begin shooting in New Orleans this February, and we cannot wait to see the finished product next season.

Bet we don't see an #EmmysSoWhite later in the year.

George Clooney Weighs In On The Oscars' Lack Of Diversity Controversy — Says 'We're Moving In The Wrong Direction'!

After the Oscars revealed all 20 of its actor nominees were white, everyone from Jada Pinkett Smith to David Oyelowo to even the President of The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences have voiced frustrations about the lack of diversity in the prestigious institution.

Now, George Clooney, the unofficial mayor of Hollywood, is adding his two cents — and he agrees that "we are moving in the wrong direction."

Speaking to Variety, the Oscar winner said he thinks the lack of minority nominees is largely due to the little options minority actors have playing roles in "quality" films!

THIS Hunger Games Star Just Came Out As Bisexual!

We're so proud of this little lady!

Amandla Stenberg is ready to open up about her racial and sexual identity.

On Thursday night, the 17-year-old posted a personal video to Tumblr, so she could break down barriers and open up to her fans and followers about who she really is.

The teen — who played Rue in the first Hunger Games movie — said:

"It's a really, really hard thing to be silenced and it's deeply bruising to fight against your identity and to mold yourself into shapes that you just shouldn't in."

The actress admitted that she relates to that struggle, revealing she is bisexual:

"As someone who identifies as a black, bisexual woman, I've been through it and it hurts. And it's awkward and it's uncomfortable."

The lovely little lady cited role models like Solange, Willow Smith, and Ava DuVernay as women who inspired her to accept her identity, adding:
