If you've watched any 24-hour news networks in the past year, you probably already know that Twitter is getting more and more popular.
A few clicks to follow the right people and suddenly you quite literally have your finger on the pulse!
But it turns out tweets aren't just getting more prevalent — they're also getting shorter! Researchers at the University of The Philippines found that since the creation of the 140-character social networking tool, messages have dropped in average length.

Although there won't be a definitive number on the ratings until later today, the Golden Globe Awards seem to have averaged about equal to the viewership of last year's ceremony, averaging a 11.8 rating/18 share, based on the metered-markets overnights!
Guess the NFL divisional coverage ran a little late last night and put a dent in the viewership, but even if that's the case, we'd say they had some pretty decent numbers!

We guess some people just gave up on it!
The heart-wrenching, infuriating, and epic series finale of Lost aired last night and despite its elaborate, worldwide television takeover, preliminary ratings are revealing that it only averaged a 9.0 rating!
This isn't terrible - in fact, it's apparently up 67% from last year's finale - but given the amount of press and excitement surrounding its end we're a little shocked that the turn-out was only average!
What do U think?? Were U satisfied with the ending of Lost or were issues just left too unanswered??
