We expect big things from this pooch!

Uggie, the canine star from The Artist, has just notched one heck of an award!

The Humane Society of the United States chose this barking movie star to be its spokesdog for the Pets Of Valor award - a huuuuge honor!!!

And don't think it has escaped the attention of Uggie and his trainer!

Taraji P. Henson is awesome!

Not only does she love animals very much, but she's willing to use her Oscar nominated self as a voice box to spread love messages for animals!

Now that's someone using their high celebrity profile for the greater good!

She especially wants to help animals who are locked up outside and freezing! She asks for all dog owners to keep their pooch inside where they can stay warm and toasty!

We think that's a wonderful idea, don't you?

Oscar nominated actress and singer Taraji P. Henson is not only a multitalented lady…

She's also a fighter for animal rights!!

She teamed up with PETA for a seksi photo shoot with a cute pooch in the ad (above).

The ad reads:

"Chained dogs suffer day in and day out. They are cold, hungry, thirsty, vulnerable, and lonely. Keep them inside, where it's safe and warm."

It's so sad to see an outdoor dog, chained to a tree or a stake in the ground, laying outside all alone.

Or in a rickety dog house that provides no protection from the elements at all.

So listen to the angelic Ms. Henson and bring your pups indoors!!

We had a feeling she would cry, and even though she tried damn hard to keep it together, those tears finally flowed free!

Although we expected some crying during her Oscar acceptance speech, Anne Hathaway held back but not for long.

She got all sorts of choked up while she chatted with press during interviews after her win for Best Supporting Actress in Les Miserables.

Let those happy emotions show!
