Brad Pitt Joins The Cast Of Slavery Movie

Brad Pitt Oscar

Brad Pitt may have an excuse to start using his Inglorious Bastards accent again.

The Oscar-nominated actor has joined the cast of Twelve Times A Slave. The film, based on a true story, follows a free black man in the 1850's who was tricked and lured into slavery.

Pitt will star alongside actor's Michael Fassbender and Chiwetel Ejiofor in the Steve McQueen directed Oscar bait film. Although you probably can't pronounce Chiwetel's name, you'll easily be able to recognize him from films like Four Brothers, American Gangster and Salt.

If Pitt doesn't win an Academy Award this year for Moneyball, it sounds like he already has a good chance of winning one next year!

Despite Legal Woes, The Golden Globes Must Go On!

2012 Golden Globes

Thank goodness!

We can't stand it when things get in the way of award season!

To recap, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and Dick Clark Productions are being total bitches to one another.

One is all like OMG, STOP IT! And the other is just sooo OVER IT!

But thankfully, the two can front a unified face for the Golden Globes this year which will air on NBC, January 15.

Kelly Osbourne Getting Back Into The Gym After Award Season

Kelly Osbourne red carpet grammy's

After going from a size 4 to a size 6 dress size during awards season, Kelly Osbourne is vowing to get back into the gym.

Kelly was busy covering red carpet events for E! on Fashion Police throughout major awards like the Golden Globes, Grammy's, and Oscars, but now says:

"I'm glad I've had time to myself now the awards season is over. I've been able to get back into my gym routine."

Good job gurl, but remember, we all need a break sometimes, especially if we're as busy as you, so don't feel bad for taking a gym hiatus!

Plus, we didn't even notice any extra weight! You looked great on every red carpet!

She also talked about her natural curves and tomboy fashion cues in a recent interview, saying:

"Because I'm short - and I'm not calling myself fat when I say this, but I'm a rounder girl, I'm not a stick - I wear stuff that fits my curves. I've always dressed the same but before I wasn't able to fit into the clothes I wanted to. I just think I'm very me. I'm the girliest tomboy you'll ever meet."

We could all learn a thing or two about how to dress from this fashionista as well. Kelly explains her clothing choices by saying:

"I get dressed for how I feel. I'm not the kind of girl that has to go to the party and be the prettiest girl in the room. I want to be the most comfortable."

Right on! As much as we all want to look absolutely fabulous, sometimes it is better to just dress to impress yourself!

Will The Academy Awards Air In January Next Year??

Holy shiz! This is a massive switch-up!

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences is reportedly going to consider moving up the air date of 2011 Academy Awards to January!

According to a source:

"The awards season is too long currently. This will shorten and reduce the amount of campaigning. Also, it will make the Oscars the definitive awards show again. The Globes can't move a lot earlier as all the movies wouldn't be released yet. The only potential downside is how do people see all the films in time to vote for nominations?"

Yeah - EXACTLY! You want to throw the Oscars in with not only the Golden Globes, but the SAG and BAFTAS? And what about the effing SuperBowl?!

Another source, however, seems doubtful the date will be switched, because there's simply not enough time for members of the Academy to watch all potential films and vote accordingly.

They claim:

"There's a ZERO percent chance that the Executive team can figure out how to logistically coordinate voting that soon, especially with all the old people who don't do electronic mail. And especially because [executive director] Bruce Davis won't do anything that utilizes technology."

Seems like a pretty shiteous idea to us!

What do U think?? Should the Academy Awards continue airing in February or March or should Awards season be squeezed into one month?
