Like a majority of 9-year-olds in North America right now, Hailey Rodenhiser is eagerly awaiting December 25… but unlike her peers, she's not actually in it for the presents.
Unfortunately, Hailey has been going through chemotherapy ever since she was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia back in 2014 — but one Christmas tradition seems to be the best medicine for the tween:

According to her mother, Juanita Rodenhiser, getting random acts of kindness from strangers high off the holiday spirit not only brings joy to the world… it literally makes Hailey feel better, too.
The Nova Scotia-based family first started asking for 2016 letters back in November, but they explained their two-year-long tradition to CTV on Wednesday, saying:
