Is Nike Taking Us Back To The Future 4 Years Early???

Get ready for a BIG announcement from Nike!

After a year of speculation, the athletic company is holding a press conference tonight in Hollywood where they are expected to unveil Marty McFly's self-lacing shoes.

Those who were invited to the big event were called at midnight and flown to El Lay TODAY. When they arrived to their hotel rooms, a box was waiting in the room along with a recorded message from Doc Brown on an iPod shuffle. The message said:

“Welcome to Los Angeles. If my calculations are correct, over the next 24 hours you are about to see some SERIOUS SH*T!”

Ha!

Inside the box was the actual invite, which read "IT’S ABOUT TIME…an unveiling that could change the course of time" along with a pair metal shield glasses.

Nike also left some mid 80′s candy, a throwback Pepsi and a copy of Back To The Future.

Inneresting.

Stay tuned…

Disney Drops Yellow Submarine

Zemeckis Loses Disney For Submarine

Don't worry, though, because it might not be the end of the project.

Disney has dropped Robert Zemeckis' Yellow Submarine, and he's now free to shop the project elsewhere.

Here are some possible reasons why:

Submarine was already facing a few rocky reefs before this weekend. There were budget issues, and a key presentation Zemeckis was to have made before the Beatles heirs kept being pushed back. A December date for the confab was scrapped and never rescheduled. But sources say the disastrous $6.9 million opening for the $150 million-budgeted Mars, produced by Zemeckis, guaranteed that Submarine would never set sail at Disney.

After the news he headed to Montana to regroup, which we don't know if that means to find a new home for Yellow Submarine or choose something else to work on.

While we think it's kind of a neat idea to re-envision Yellow Submarine, we weren't huge fans of Zemeckis' last few movies, and we're not sure if the mo-cap animation itself is solely to blame or if Robert has just lost touch with his talent for a few years because of the animation obsession (and he IS talented, Back to the Future, anyone?).

We'll just have to wait and see!

Are U disappointed that Yellow Submarine has been sunk?

Stephen King Takes On JFK Assassination In New Novel!

new stephen king novel on the way

This is a REALLY interesting premise, and we can already imagine it as a movie!

In Stephen King's new novel, which comes out on Nov 8th, a thirty-five year old high school English teacher travels through time on a mission to prevent the JFK assassination.

It seems kind of like Back to the Future, only the stakes are MUCH higher! Cool!

george clooney to star in john delorean biopic

Back to the Future fans and George Clooney fans and DeLorean fans rejoice!

George Clooney is currently in talks to star as car manufacturer John DeLorean in a biopic of the man's life.

For those of you who don't already know if there's anyone who doesn't, DeLorean's famous DMC-12 car was featured in the Back to the Future trilogy AS the time machine!

One could probs argue that this movie isn't necessary, but we're excited about Clooney's involvement, and we're happy to have another opportunity to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Back to the Future! Keep 'em coming!

Would U be innerested in seeing this movie?

Nike Releases Back To The Future-Inspired Shoes!

nike releases delorean shoes

In Back to the Future Part II, Nike had released high-tech shoes with auto-laces.

Now, as a nod back to the Future franchise, Nike has released Dunk 6.0 DeLorean shoes, which are inspired by the 1980s DeLorean car, which was featured in the movies!

If we wear them and run at 88 mph REALLY fast, will we travel back to 1955? Or the old west? Or maybe somewhere new?!?!?

We love the way in which the world has been celebrating the 25th anniversary of Back to the Future!

We've had blu-rays, a video game, DeLorean hard drives, and now DeLorean shoes!

How will they celebrate next? Will they release ACTUAL time-traveling DeLoreans???

Check out the trailer (above) for the closest thing we're likely to get to a Back To The Future sequel anytime soon!

We are totally nerding out over this video game…especially because they got Christopher Lloyd to return as the voice of Doc Brown!

We're not sure who this guy is playing Marty McFly, but he sounds A LOT like Michael J. Fox! We're impressed!

Are U excited for some interactive Back To The Future?

Coolest Hard Drive EVER

coolest hard drive ever

We know what you're thinking…since when are hard drives cool?

Since the company Flash Rods decided to model one of them after the Delorean time machine from Back to the Future, that's when!

And you know what else is cool about these things? They can store up to 500 gigabytes and you don't need 1.21 gigawatts of electricity to run them!

Def something to think about as a potential present with the holidays coming up!

Who needs iPads and Kindles when you could own a hard drive that has the ability to travel through time!

Will U purchase the coolest hard drive ever created?
