Sorry for yelling, but this is just about the worst news we could get today — apparently a shortage of bacon is looming on the horizon… and we can't do anything to stop it!

Britain's National Pig Association (NPA) (yes it's real) says that pig herds in Europe are shrinking, which is now a trend around the world.

Forget people trying to make tomatoes taste better, or how to grow plants without pesticide — the true food science in this world is coming from state fairs!

Allow us to introduce the Double Bacon Corn Dog, made by Campbell's Concessions of Des Moines, Iowa.

People at the Iowa State Fair will be getting a taste next month!

Here's what the creator said:

"I don't know anyone else that ever tried it and I know most other corn dog operators. I know a lot of people do the deep fried Oreos and deep fried butter but not bacon corn dogs."

Here's how it's done: the hot dog is wrapped in bacon, deep-fried, refrigerated and covered in batter with bacon bits. Then they do a "few more rich things to make the flavor pop."

Sounds bacon-y!

We're going to have a massive heart attack just looking at this thing.

Slater's 50/50, a Southern California burger chain known for its half ground beef, half ground bacon patties has decided that that isn't quite American enough.

So they made this monstrosity.

Well, if the world is going to end this year anyway, we might as well spend our last summer filled to the brim with bacon sundaes!

LOLz!

Actually, Burger King has a whole new BBQ line up for the summer, and the bacon sundae is just the cherry on top!

They're launching several pork, beef and chicken sandwiches as limited time offers. The sundae? Vanilla soft serve with fudge, caramel, bacon crumbles and a piece of bacon.

Unfortunately, we say you should probably only try it once. You know, since it has 510 calories, 18 grams of fat and 61 grams of sugar.

The question is: will it be a hit like the Doritos Taco??

Wow, the world of gimmicky food is out of control. There's gotta be a league of evil, insane, and hungry people creating these things.

We've got bacon sundaes at Burger King, and now we have Pizza Hut offering pizza with hotdogs baked into the crust!

Those of us in the states, however, will have to wait a while before we get a chance to sample — the pies are only in the U.K. for now, and there aren't really plans to bring it here!

There isn't an official calorie count, but you could probably be lookin' at around 450 calories for a whole pizza!

Just kidding, that's PER SLICE.

That's what Burger King is testing RIGHT NOW!

Looks like Denny's might have to move over if they perfect the recipe!

For right now, though, a Nashville Burger King location is the only one with the new Bacon Sundae being offered.

So, like the mythical and delicious unicorn that it is… we'll have to wait until we actually see the dessert itself in the wild!

Unless, of course, one of our dear FitPerezcious readers can find one and snap a pic for us, sending it to Tips@FitPerez.com!

The truth is, we just want to see it for ourselves — it's gotta be incredibly fattening, and you should probably stay away from eating it!
