Late Monday night in Bangkok, 12 people were killed in a large explosion at a main intersection.
The blast occurred at 5am PST, but reports are still sketchy.
Some claim that the bomb was on a motorcycle while others claimed that it was tied to an electrical pole. No one has claimed responsibility for the deadly attack.
The blast went off in front of Erawan Shrine, a Buddhist shrine and major tourist attraction in the city's major shopping district. There's also a video (below) from a local camera that caught the moment the explosion went off.
Lt. Gen. Prawut Thavornsiri told the Agence France-Presse that:
